I would have never believe that a cassette deck restauration makes so much view. I thought they was completely dead since the mp3 standard but they seems to be immortal. Like vynils.
Yes brother I agreed with you .because I am also an electronic engineer I am also doing very difficult restoration work.resently I have done a sharp 1983 cassette deck with Bluetooth and Dolby atmos sarround sound.

For the future would help to use paint stripper or sandblasting to remove the old pain from the case and some rust inhibitor as it’s cheap en effective. Otherwise I see improvements in the quality pf the videos. Keep up the good job!

There is a problem with your deck and it is the subject of the stopers ... I saw the video looking for how you solved this and it is a little disappointing to see that you did not fix it, at 20:33 they see, they are that half broken yellow plastic piece, On the other hand, what type of lubricating grease do you use?
I guess still there was something wrong with the deck performance! The song was dull even after adjusting the head! The deck mechanism was one of the top notc as that era and still need a lot of respect to get the most of it! Besides there were a lot of cap to test if they are still with the exact value to deliver the perfect harmony. Lot of respect for your efforts! Well done.👍

19:56 Speed alignment must be done with a calibrated test tone tape and an oscilloscope to check the frequency. Not just by hearing.
Same goes with the azimuth!
