Looks great! I always enjoy your boombox teardowns. This is also my hobby. The next time you see the old plastic peeling off like that, you might want to try heating it up with a heat gun or hairdryer before you peel it off. That can sometime make the peel clean. It doesn't always work, but it's worth a try.

Beautiful job, especially the Kameleon paint. It occured to me that, after you peeled off the protective clear tape off the radio dial and the graphic equaliser, you should have cleaned up the graphics and sprayed a clear coat to protect them. That way the images wouldn't have peeled off when you removed the masking tape. Just a thought...
Please link those lubricants and cleaner you use, it's difficult to keep track since through all these videos you have used different chemicals.....as always stunning restoration ❤️✨🔥🔥if you list those products it qould be more useful for us to learn😇
У меня был и есть двухкасетный Шарп с 1989 года. Там тоже регулярно ломалась отталкиваяющая пружинка касетника. Я с булавки выгинал и делал копию. Но и копия пару раз ломалась. А мастер просто гений ремонта.

I like Sharp old model boomboxes. It gets the cleanest signal from both FM and AM radio. It sounds good too on its category. I always question older boomboxes with that peizo tweeters with no membrane attached. It's like it sounds very thin and you won't even notice if its sounding or not 😂😂
Hi man I'm servicing a GF330 cassette Mechanism at the moment, do you have any idea what the function of the spring is that you can see on the top of the cassette mechanism one end is at the Capston centre pin by the pinch roller and the other end goes through to the lower deck, I'm baffled as to what the function is? as nothing comes into contact with it?, static screening??
I stay cool, I admire your work, I want to give my boombox a new life, what is the name of the liquid you use to polish the plastic? leaves it as new ..

Nice video and good job! But spraying contact cleaner in to the tuning condenser is not good idea. It may cause misalignment of tuner input stage.

It's a plastics polish, same as the car polish, but it's special for plastic and other types of plastic
looks great, too bad there's not much you can do about the display for the tuner.
