To all existing and future buyers very imp please ensure seats covers and full floor mating is done at skoda delear only bcoz out side vendors spoiling sensitive abs sensor wires under seat in the process of affixing seat covers. Damage could be huge each buckle could cost 1 lakh and already people are facing abs failure issue and skoda doesnt cover those under warranty neither insurance. Today Skoda mahavir hyd confirmed.

I purchased from Skoda PPL kondapur HYd showroom .. Purchased seat covers from service centre from got it done from service centre only but what i observed is even the service centre folks bought third party guy to install the covers .. initially it went about for 3 weeks they were citing manpower crunch ..i even raised a complaint that i am first time skoda user and im getting worried wrt future service because this is very trivial .. then they bought outside guy to install. the response was swift after the complaint but i was skeptical .

let me share yesterday's incident. I was trying to overtake a truck nearby talwara (while coming back from chamba->delhi) from the truck drivers side. He suddenly dragged the truck on my side to save a scooty wala (which I am not sure, if he was drunk on there was actually a scooty wala). I was roughly around 80-90 kmph. I am stunned to see how my car saved us. I was able to stop the car in 2 seconds in a very small space which was left on the road. Hats off skoda for braking and steering feedback. The car stopped exactly where I wanted it to stop. I use 1.0 tsi rapid 2020. Respect!!. This is my first car and I have hardly driven other cars. I love it. The kind of thrust it has. I can overtake anyone on highway effortlessly.

Couldn’t agree more… virtus 1.0 AT gives 6-7 kmpl is very heavy traffic and 24kmpl on highway…
I know people won’t believe me but I’ll post a video for the same… It depends on driving and traffic conditions. I drove virtus 1.0 from Shimla to Hyderabad about 2200kms 6 months ago. Overall tank to tank mileage was 16.6 kmpl with all time AC auto set at 20 degrees. I have the proof of bills and videos. All the time cruze was set at 120 kmph. This engine is a gem. During this trip I did 190 kmph on the express way that too at 4k rpm and 5th gear.. Who has a little knowledge can easily tell that it redlines at 6k rpm and one gear was still left.. what a gem engine this is.

Hello, Sunderdeep and Munish, firstly thanks for this series, it has enlightened me on many aspects of my virtus gt that I wasn't aware of before. Now, we know that you have the right ingredients for a proper automobile podcast.
Though you need to improve a few things like letting the other one complete their sentence or question, trying to keep repetitions of explanation to a minimum, and when the topic is over try not to go back to it after that.
These could be some good quality-of-life improvements going forward as I would love to see this kind of content grow with improvements in quality so it could be a worldwide knowledge base for automotive lovers.
Keep this thing going it is amazing!

Hi Sunderdeep..I've followed your vlogs while finalizing my Slavia 1L AT and I am glad I went ahead with the purchase..Your insights were truly helpful and really appreciate the work you are doing!! Performance, driving-dynamics, built of the car is exceptional and has no competition whatsoever in Indian market today..Only anxiety I had was about mileage since my daily office runs are 80-100kms in Mumbai..I have driven the car almost 1200kms and average mileage in moderate to peak traffic is about 13-15kmpl, which is exceptional!! I have seen mileage hit as high as 18kmpl in constantly moving traffic for as long as 30kms..Turbo engines are sensitive and the key to a good mileage is sedate driving, gradual acceleration and braking, making full use of idle start-stop functionality, cruise control and lastly not giving in the urge to drive this beast fast coz it always entices you to go fast!! For anyone who has any sort of mileage anxiety just like I had, just believe in this machine and you will be driving with a big smile 😊

Living in Kolkata and using the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass, traffic in office hours is just little less than the other areas of Kolkata. However, when the traffic is much less, i.e; in the early morning, like 6.00am to 7.30am, I have a reading upto 21. In highway, it is between 18 to 21 in ideal case where the distance covered is more than 250km, AC remained on for 110-130km(around), 2-3 persons are travelling with little luggage and has taken two stops (15-20 minutes) in between.

Highways, I have got between 15.5 - 18.5 kmpl in my Taigun 1L automatic.
Tyre pressure recommended by VW on driver side seems wrong as it decreases the mileage in Indian road conditions.
Keep it 35 or 36 psi, all tyres and try do the mileage run. Also, These numbers are for Indian oil XP95 octane petrol not the normal petrol.

Hi Munish, sorry for the noob question/doubt that I have, regarding DSG reliability info that you shared in the previous videos
1.) You mentioned the fact that there was a power surge in diesel engines which lead to premature failure of DQ200 as the engine was producing more than 250 nm of torque during surge. --> understood
2.) You also mentioned how people would often use launch control and put the gearbox under stress therefore another point of premature failure. --> understood
3.) What I didn't understand was that in 1.5 tsi the peak torque ranges from around 1650 rpm to 3500 rpm. So assuming we are driving in that peak torque range (assuming the speed is 90-100 and with the 7th gear engaged) then in that case will the gearbox be under stress as all the peak torque is being used or the peak torque is just available in this range but is not being used? If it is the former then are we supposed to keep out of this 1650-3500 rpm range? If it is the latter then at what speed rpm combination will trigger peaak torque delivery?
4.) Also, will you suggest any additional product/methods to keep the gearbox cool in situation when someone is stuck in b2b traffic? Only tip that I got was that we should engage in Manual mode when stuck in stop/start traffic.

Hello Sunderdeep, I really want to thank you for taking the time to not only create this channel but also using this platform to enlighten an average car buyer in India.
I was watching a well-known moto-jounalist's channel doing "Maha Comparison" of sub-20 lakh SUVs and in the end, his #1 recommendation and the car he actually called "Sarvagun Sampan" was Hyundai Creta, right now everyone knows about its UNSTABLE BODYSHELL.
Around 1.5 lakh people die in India in road accidents every year and this so-called moto-journalist was still defining "value for money" as having more features at the cost of build quality.
Your channel is blooming like a lotus within this muddy swamp of paid and unresponsible moto content creators who are playing with people's lives.
Thank you for doing what you're doing and please continue to bring such solid responsible content. God Bless!!!

Even I was recently in talks with one guy who purchased seltos from all the options available in mid size suv segment. Nothing bad in it. Volkswagen gives everything everytime but misses on space as always.. The rear can not accommodate 3 passengers that's why people think of korean twins. They offer great space.
Also lack of touchpoints in india of Vw/skoda and customer service has been degrading over period of time.. Skoda slavia getting burnt getting repainted. Always we cant fall for german engineering.

Yes Munish ji is correct about mileage in turbo, for instance my taigun gives 8-10 ik b2b and I was concerned why my car is not giving avg so I took to service centre there service guys pulled a mileage of 20 on highway and told me that to get best mileage drive it on 80-90 with cruise control on highway and in city traffic push the race slowly and let the speed in a constant so I tried doing this and yes definitely saw improvement and getting avg of 13

    Hello Sunderdeep and Manish -
I love your vides and following this informative series. I thought you guys can help me with this one.
In near future I'm planning to buy Slavia Style 1.0 MT by the end of March 2023.
    - My ask here is should I go ahead and buy this one or wait for some time in case there is any chances of any facelift or Skoda might launch any new car in near future (2023)?
    - I only want to go for either Skoda and VW bcs of the security they provide, would you recommend going with the Style AT as it is Torque convertor not DSG, kindly do share your views.
    - What other things you recommend one should get done when getting Slavia directly from the dealer like seat cover or full floor mating and other things!
In the end thank you so much for sharing such info and making us Aware. Keep going Sir.

My 1.0 AT, in the city gives 10-13 (with AC and without AC)
Highway: 17 to 23 at 100 with fully loaded and AC.
An important point to touch with average is tyre pressure, if it's loaded then tyre pressure plays important role for good average.
In city, ideally it has to be around 33 to 35.

In my last 300km trip from Delhi - Dehradun my Tiguan 2.0TSI delivered delivered 17.8km/pl on mid and full tank it it translated to 16.4kmpl which is awesome given the size and sheer power of that engine…. In our group there are 1.5Tsi motors as well and friends are getting around 10-11 in bumper bumper peak hours and 13-15 on delhi Gurgaon runs and highways they have touched 19-20s easily with decent driving behaviour; so totally vouch these engines are leap ahead in performance and efficiency!!

Hi guys, amazing work . the gearbox you are talking about is aisin aq-250, this is a modern iteration of the one which use to come in 1.6 mpi for both rapid and vento (aq-200) , as the code name suggests its rated at 250 nm which can be varried to 350 nm when propelled with more rigid shaft and T.C Gearboxes shifts with hydraulic pressure the fluid shifts the gear changes . and aisin is way beyond toyota's tech and expirence , like tata is the owner of land rover but it dosent mean land rover uses tata's tech ( internal research expirence is way beyond tata can imagine ) , similar is the case with aisin.

I have vento 1.0 tsi 2020 manual. I get 14+ kmpl tank to tank mileage easily every time in pure city runs.
On highways runs I have always got 20+ kmpl
At times I tried doing max mileage runs and have got 28.9 kmpl once and 24+ kmpl quite frequently on such runs
So yeah, to all the Maruti and Hyundai buyers/supporters, no one can put a finger on this.
Plus they safety and driving dynamics VAG cars offer, other can only dream of.

I have 1.5 tsi with dsg. In light city traffic I get 12-15 mileage. In bumper to bumper it drops to 8-10. 2 days back I did 779 kms highway run with 2.5 people and fully loaded boot. Got 16.6 mileage with avg speed of 69 km/hr. Most of the time I was doing 110-120 the average speed came out less because 100 kms of road was bad + 4 ghat sections + regularly slowing down and then pick up due to crossings and I cannot drive sedately. Happy with the mileage
