There's been a lot of NERF Pistols, but I think the Dart Zone Pro MK.2 is the best yet. Powerful, compact, comfortable, reliable, and accurate... it really only has one flaw that's easily fixed if you want more power out of it. Not only that, but it comes with some awesome gear that makes it fit into any loadout right out of the box. It really does tick all the boxes and make it an extremely beautiful addition to any arsenal, as there are few things even remotely like it... let alone in it's weight class.

That orange muzzle attachment is obviously designed to protect your barrel when you inevitably brass it all the way to the end ;)

Mine just arrived today; they are indeed awesome. Too dark out now to do proper range/accuracy testing, but they look and feel as good as I could hope for. I may shave a little off the bottom of the trigger guard as it rubs against my middle finger's knuckle, but everyone's hands are different.
I just got mine and tested it and it’s working wonderfully with bamboos and dz waffle darts

@@richardmetellus2336 They can, but they don't need to. DZP and us hobbyist already have most of the market share in our space, Hasbro has no reason to risk their audience of suburban parents and kids by making something more dangerous.

Did you just say dangerous? Look at the rival series, the line was clearly built for being a powerhouse for extremely competitive nerfer’s. When you think about it, nerf rival was not only the strongest nerf line but was also the home of the strongest blasters of it’s time. So that being said it is over four years later and the rival line was never upgraded since than. So dart zone came in and stole that spot and now nerf is going to need to double up their quality. That is how competitions work, that was how nerf used to be. Quality blasters that were actually useful and not just a collectors item. So they didn’t have a problem doing it back than, which means they are not going for a different market, they have just been lazy lately. All nerf needs to do is up their game and stop messing around.
@@halloweenthe13th89 Rival is still considerably cut down compared to DZP and comp stuff, the rounds hit with a larger surface area to be safer too. While few foam dart blasters are really deserving of the word dangerous, you still wouldn't want give a 5 year old a DZP MK2, they wouldn't have fun. They'd hurt themselves Hasbro would be left to do damage control after the media goes after them. Hasbro has no reason to risk this happening. They don't care about you or this hobby and it should stay that way.
I think Drac hit the nail on the head for the orange extension; to be more obviously a toy and not a real gun.

I don't know, that orange thing on the front has some sort of clip on 1 side if you look at it, like a belt clip or something, I'd need to see one i guess.
Or just to look cool because of the weird shape when it's shorter.
@@warhamsterful It's so that you can still carry the muzzle while the blaster is in its holster. Then drawing both and combining them is a quick and simple process
I will say that despite this year being completely horrible because of you know what; it seems to have been the pinnacle year of blaster development in this hobby.

I'm still sick, and I tried my best to make it well edited... but there's still some gushing. I'll most likely do a second video.
The fact that you mention the Tac 45 lets us know you're a true sidearm enthusiast, especially since you speak of it as a primary. Most people remember the DSR with its heavy rounds or the Skorpion Evo with its insane rate of fire, but people who really like to be fast, light, and deadly always remember the Tac 45.
It was really similar to the Five-Seven, which had a much larger magazine; but the TAC .45 with the long barrel had a really good two-hit kill range and a competent 3-4 hit kill zone. I would have to dig out the PS3 and stuff, but I had 48,000 kills with that pistol alone. Greasy. As hell. Something like 28 days of play time over 2 years. Black Ops 2 was my friend when I needed it most. Just watching that footage Pierland sent me gave me goosebumps.
Tac 45 mains rise up
Five-Seven Gang All Day. Still 2Shots, faster fire rate, etc
Tac 45 was my back up with the M27. Boy that saved my ass so many times.
My favorite secondary is the KSG it’s hard to use you have to make sure you can hit you shots but that shotgun is one pump and good with long and short range and it’s deadly I used to use the Scorpio evo but I rather use a shotgun and a ballista as a primary
I believe the orange barrel is made for it to look less "gun like". It makes it look more like a toy, and not an actual gun.
The muzzle attachment is probably because there isn't much orange on the blaster itself, but you have a good point that it would help narrowing in on targets. :O

You'd probably do fine with a $30-$50 reflex sight. Now I do plan to buy this in the future but I want a Daniel defense stock and a decent reflex sight for a nexus pro, because tacticool.

@@autisticANDarmed look into the Dagger Defense red dots. That's what i run on mine along with a Magpul MOE carbine stock and BCM foregrip. Basically i just move the attachments from my range shooter over to the foam shooter when i want to use it 😂

The Halo CE pistol is another great example of a pistol designed as a primary. It wasn't the best at every role but it was accurate and powerful enough to at least complete in every role.
Absolutely! So handy! I remember you'd spawn in and instinctively switch to it! Love the classic Halo magnum! Such a legendary pistol! It's a beast! In the lore that thing uses like high velocity, armor piercing, high explosive rounds! Insane! It was a workhorse! Good stuff! 😁😎🥲👍🏻
I think that without that giant orange extension, I'd be having an uncomfortable talk with the police, either at gunpoint, or maybe just after being thrown down and cuffed.
Drac did a review on this and stated that actually is the reason for that weird orange piece. Because of the limited amount of orange on the blaster, Dart Zone made that so you wouldn't get yelled at by police if you use it at a outdoor Nerf Battle.
In fact this might be an unpopular opinion but I'd kind of prefer that the orange extension was permanently fixed to the blaster.

The dart zone pro line itself seems to be out performing Nerf by some milestones.
Working dart hoppers, an internal magazine fed pistol in half darts that looks almost real, pump action that can shoot both half and full length darts.
and mega darts, and nerf rival rounds.
Needs to be painted pink to match L-Chan
Pink blasters are underrated.
Paint it green to do poison damage
Make it red for speedz.
Make it even redder to it burns the opponent!

That thing looks so badass! Battlefield 1 had really good sidearms too! You could use em like a primary if you want! That m1911 in the game is beautiful and satisfying! Great damage, sound, and animations! Really that goes for most of the pistols and revolvers.

The orange barrel attachment acts like a suppressor for tactical and cosmetic reasons. It can be useful for the stealth missions.

The way that the internal mag works,leads me to hoping they will make bolt action rifles that have internal magazines,and clips to load them.

I myself am very partial to the orange muzzle piece because it kind of balances out the blaster.
While topping up and having something be that small is certainly useful personally I like larger blasters. Smaller blasters have their place, very nice video though. Keep it up.
With the muzzle attachment on, this thing looks similar to Sam Fisher's Five Seven. Definitely picking it up soon, too bad they don't sell a lot of Adventure Force where I am in Canada.

at some angles this blaster reminds me of the "magnum" in halo 2 or halo 3 odst with that barrel shroud off

This is probably the best balance between size and magazine. This is my Oh! yeeeeeaaaaah! Pickup. I still haven’t tried the mk2.1…. 😅got a knockoff for reasons. N have opinions on both! But I got to try it for real. Real soon. So we shall see. This vid is vanity now. I own this and love it. I have little targets, and I had to make smaller targets to evolve with dart zone pro. lol
The orange muzzle break thing may be better suited for public use (in a park) because of how it looks like a real gun and the more orange the better

These showed up for me on Target.com today and mine are on the way, but 2 weeks delivery estimate. This should look good with my CEDA S in matching red/black as primary, and about the same FPS.
Was there more to your initial comment on dart wear that this causes? Or types of darts that wear more or less through it?

Got the E-mail notification they were in stock. Ordered Two, one to mess with and one to possibly keep stock and a box of darts, cause.. why not. While nexus pro darts are amazing... But since I use mine at work overnight, bright green means more recovered and less pissed bosses when the sun comes up and customers arrive 😂
what eye pro do you recommend iv'e been using out of darts cheap ones but I don't know If they will hold up

Pretty sure the barrel extension is primarily to make it safer to use outdoors. Without the barrel extension, it looks more like a realsteel pistol than any other blaster, while the big orange piece makes it actually look like a toy.
EDIT: If you are going to swap the stock barrel out anyway for a better seal, would it be worth it to increase the length of the new barrel to extend through the muzzle attachment? And if you were to do so (still leaving it detachable) would the holster still be usable?

I'm pretty concerned about grip comfort with the mag-in-grip.
I know that holding a TalonMag in hand like a grip presents some uncomfortably square profiles.
Can you comment on how the MK2 grip feels in that regard?

The role play potential of this one nice
I really like it, the only thing that is disappointing is the price (80$), which is more expensive than the Nexus Pro (Which includes the powerful blaster, full dart mag, half dart mag, the half dart mag adapter, 12 full darts, 12 half darts and removable sights). But still excellent.
I'm betting the orange muzzle front is likely for safety purpose, esp if your outside in an uncontrolled play environment. Plus, it give the opportunity to minimize it, should you need to, without have to disassemble the blaster.

The next step for dartzone is to make this same exact thing... But mag fed through the bottom of the handle and with flywheels. That would be an absolute dream come true!!!
