I feel like anything that's in that high of a price range can't restructure nerf to some major extent, due to the fact of how few people will be able to get their hands on them. It's an amazing piece of blaster tech for sure, but the blasters that really shake up nerf are the ones that bring good features and performance down to an affordable price. The Dart Zone Pro Mk.1.1 wasn't what made a big splash, the Nexus Pro was.
Another thing is availability which dart zone lacks outside of the US and Canada.
The Caliburn definitely restructured nerf when it came out.
@@mainstay. The Caliburn isn't relatively too expensive. But price wasn't the reason why the Caliburn was such a huge game changer in our hobby. It was because the Caliburn was the first open-source blaster. God bless Captain Slug for doing that. You don't have to get onto a long waiting list to get one. You could build one yourself or buy one from 3rd party builders.
Because parents generally aren't going to buy little Timmy any dart gun that costs more than $80
Even if you have the money you can't get them, I've been waiting for months and they guy has sold about 13 of them
The Pewpew is what happens when you combine the Glock's shell, the Tec 9's mag system, and the Woozi's firing speed. Its just a purely genius nerf invention.
Okay, the full auto mag dump immediately brought to mind some of the crazy Vladof machine pistols in the Borderlands series of games. Now if only the body were shaped a bit more like a Skorpion machine pistol... Or, slap some digital camo on it as is, put it in burst mode, and you have a very convincing Dahl pistol for Borderlands cosplay.

Dahl was always my favorite weapon brand- except for snipers, Jackobs took that one for me.
I could never justify that cost, but it is such a fine looking/functioning blaster. Very nice!

PSP slider sticks are frankly fantastic multipurpose parts for a wide array of electronic builds. As a modder/restorer of tech I've always wondered why I don't see them used more. This is a great use of it. So elegant!

So this is essentially a TEC-9 for nerf, the technology we have now is just incredible, the price is not as nice but i can understand why.

The magazine isn't in the pistol grip so not quite. The pistol grip used on it is just a straight up 3d printed copy of a glock pistol grip
That is kind of an insult to this device considering how shit tec-9s are.
Alright then, "Tec-9" in looks. Still a incredible 3d printed nerf blaster and nothing but respect for the creator. Is that better?

I love the grip and trigger guard profile. It reminds me of the G17. Just good or regular size hands.
It's pretty slick but man that price tag stings. I find that all the extra features are cool and all but for me I'd probably just set it on full auto 10 darts per second-ish and leave it like that. great blaster, excellent idea, but no way in hell I'd pay 500$ CAD for a bunch of features I'd never use. if it hit harder maybe. but 130-160 isn't as crazy high as I'd want for something that costly. nice video and cool blaster but i don't think it's for me.
That's fair, but power isn't everything. My FDLs hit only slightly harder, despite being much larger and having worse trigger feel on the select-fire.
@@WalcomS7 Yeah i agree but i just feel as if other machine pistols like the lepus or woozi would do almost as well at a much lower price tag. The pew pew looks like one of the best options but i just don't think it's worth paying triple or more then the other options. it's got features i'd pay an extra 100$ or even 150$ for. not an extra 300$.
It's often the case that the people who make advancements in any given hobby, craft, etc. are the least experienced as they have zero preconceived notion of what is and isn't possible and are therefore more willing to try unorthodox methods to achieve their goals

WoW! Absolutely incredible blaster. With an absolutely insane price... I can definitely see solenoids being banned at some point for competitions if they're gonna be this price restrictive. I'd love to see an accuracy video
I think the one of biggest surprises with this blaster is the range for the fps, like when one person in my group brought his PewPew, and his Dual Stage Woozi we both tried to see which would go further even though we knew the Woozi was hitting higher fps wise, but we kept noticing the PewPew darts would go further
That's an interesting point to bring up because it definitely feels like the PewPew darts go farther than some other blasters I think it harder. It's weird.
@@WalcomS7 It's gotta have something to do with the wheel geometry or some physics thing I'm missing lol like if I point it straight the dart actually hops up leading to a higher arc...which also led me to see someone use it for the first firing above someone's head 😅
Probably an angled cage ... I've been doing it for a lil while . no ark needed under 35yards.. 3degrees tilt on ur cage will do it

This video came up for me and being a former paintball player we had triggers that fire when you pull and fire when you let off. Made for a fun two shot setup

It’s biggest upside is probably also it’s biggest downside, which is that it looks exactly like a glock.

Great video. Hey man, you don’t have to explain yourself, if I had the coin to drop on one, I would have one too. Maybe it’s not for everyone but neither is a ‘63 barracuda or a 2021 Lamborghini or a 2021 Ford Maveri. Different strokes folks. Keep up the great work man and I know the new stuff is super sweet, but does anybody still do integrations anymore? I absolutely love that stuff and I think it’s be great to see more of that.

Hopefully in a few years this will be the future of blasters, and mass production will lower the cost a bit. I prefer airsoft as a hobby but since it might become banned soon here in Canada, I could see dart blasters like this becoming the replacement if it becomes more affordable. That's if the new laws don't outlaw high FPS blasters..

I don't do anything with nerf, only found your channel from the modern rogue, but this just looks fun to shoot at a wall while watching netflix or youtube
so basically its just tiny drone motors with a tiny solenoid with a tiny screen with a psp joystick (and yes, i noticed that it was from a psp) and they somehow made this thing barely take up any room while still basically being fully functional but also with select fire. dang.
The pew pew look like one of the Theodore guns from borderlands that when it out of ammo you throw it and it exploded

I would urge a bit of caution with the power down capability, and don't store batteries in the blaster long term. Narfduino has this too and although it is shut down, there's still a small amount of current draw. I can't say with pewpew but a shut down Narfduino will flatten a 500mah battery after about 6 weeks.
Still it's great to transport your blasters to games with batteries installed without them being on.

Having the mag fed into the grip would make it the best sidearm. As the magazine would make holstering it difficult

This is what I like about Nerf. Yep, this thing is awesome. Programmability up the wazoo. Does that make it a more effective blaster though? IMO, not really. Truly, aside from maybe FPS, a Lepus compares in size and ROF at 1/4 the price. Cagefighter also.
No negatives - this thing is a beast but it doesn't break gameplay and that is a good thing. If I had 500 duck bucks to drop, I would be on the list.

You know what that ROF got me thinking? We need full auto performance like this in the body of a Kriss Vector style blaster, with an angled magwell and everything. Imagine how fun and realistic it’d feel on 2rd burst! Making something of an AN-94 inspired blaster would be dope also, given it also has a super fast burst fire feature (obviously don’t make em **too** realistic but close enough)

I'd love this if it looked like a tek-9 as it's basically just a Glock with a forward mag currently. With a little redesign it would look almost identical to a real tek-9, though I'm sure I'm the only one who wants that being a firearms nerd.
