Hi Vavi, can you cook the pumpkin any way when it thaws (boil, bake, steam etc) does it come out mushy at all from not being blanched? Cheers Phill 🇦🇺

Hi Fishingphil, yes they get mushy so I did not blanched.I use them like curry or soup type recipes.
I blanched other veggies like bottle gourd and ridge gourd.

You did not brine it. Freezing vegetable directly can multiply bacteria

A mature pumpkin uncut will stay fine for 6 + months. That size looks 3 kg or below. Can cook a choose recipe and keep half in fridge.

Yes fully matured pumpkin stayed 1+year in garage. The one I showed in video is green one. So I cont finish at one time. So I just stored freezer to use when I needed over months.

You can dehydrate or sun dry to store longer time.
