Great reaction!! I’ve also been requesting this one. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe “Dana Dan” is referring to the Goddess Kali’s dance of death where she danced with so much rage to kill a demon in order to save the earth that she nearly destroyed the entire world. This song personifies her rage against such heinous acts.
Yeah, that's pretty accurate. There's a bit more, but that's a lot of the key points.
"De Dana Dan" translates to "bringing the beat down". Yes, in a sense of a dance beat, but obviously also in a more violent sense. It is a phrase that is commonly used for "beating someone up". The video links this of course to Kali, the godess of female retribution (among other attributes).

A good way to see Kali is "righteous fury".
Kali represents death and destruction, in the sense everything that is born in this Universe ("born" or created - however you see it) gets destroyed in the end, and goddess Kali is the force of the nature that represents their demise. But more than that, whenever the society regresses and experiences the downfall of morality, it's Kali who takes the matter into her own hands. She is seen as sort of an antithesis of the feminine force of creation - Shakti (literally meaning "power" or "energy").

Great reaction. It's so much more fun to watch people who truly get it, the music, the lyrics, the feels, the aggression, etc. as I knew you guys would. This band is beyond amazing. Highly suggest you do more. I think you guys did two other ones. I know "Aaj" was one of them. I forgot the other. It was a long time ago for sure. But you really can't go wrong with any of their videos. Maybe "Gaddaar" if that's not the other one you did or maybe "Ari Ari" (I have a feeling that might be the one you first did). I don't know about peach cobbler (I'll have to ask), but she kills it in the cupcakes, candy; especially peanut brittle and more, so I'm sure she could probably kill that too, lol. One of my favorite bands ever . This is amazing song with amazing message. Everything they have done is awesome , but when they added Raoul is when it really turned up.

Yeah, the abuse of women etc; there is which this band speaks out against in their country. They speak out about it (acid thrown in the woman's faces, and lots more of injustice and mistreatment). They also make songs about dog rescue and so much more. Especially with the full video.

YUUUUUUSSSSSSSSS FINALLYYYYY!!!!! Duuudes, I've been waiting for yous to react to this since it came out. Bloodywood absaloutly SLAP!!! This is probably their hardest song. But check out Machi Bhasad and Jee Veerey. Their whole album is a banger. Also my most favourite video from them by far. The visuals and colours and production is NUTS. (And agree with you Hollywood, its is quite sexy lol). And maaaan, Jayants growls and screams hold sooo much power!! Mad props to 2RG and 2RG Jeff. They are soo awesome.

Durga Became Kali in a fight against evil. Evil was "Rakhta Beej" meaning Blood Seed. So every time she defeated Evil their blood would touch earth and create new Evil. So she decided to drink their blood so that it does not touch earth. But Durga becomes Kali and looses her mind and become frantic and was about to destroy creation itself. Then her husband Shiva lays down in the path of her destruction and when she touches him with her feet she realizes her mistake. That's one of the story of Kali. My take away from this story is if you Hate and fight something for too long you tend to become like that.

I DESPISE when they show some violent guy in shows listening to metal before walking out and committing crimes. It's a common trope. Metal often sounds angry and aggressive. But this trope is so ridiculous since so much metal is about anger AGAINST unfairness, anger AGAINST injustice, anger AGAINST abuse, anger AGAINST hatred. The best kind of anger!

emotionally, we all want to inflict as much pain as possible to rapists. This song is a reflection of emotions and anger towards such criminal. i don't want to normalize violence but certain acts deserve violence and Sexual assault should be dealt with utmost wrath of law, punishment and pain.

Worked at 2 Indian restaurants during my career, but they were here in the U.S. to get away from that mistreatment. But, in passing you pay attention but, it doesn't really register, but that shite happens...your kinda, no nah, denial, whatever. But this band brings it up to the forefront.

Sexual assault is a big problem in India. The people in power over there take advantage of the system to abuse their power. But there is a growing trend of people speaking out against the injustice. Things are getting better. Bloodywood is part of that group that is trying to bring awareness to the problems in India.
