    I think the plan of virar JNPT and Delhi Mumbai JNPT spur was planned very late. This is leading to slow post plan process that is land acquisition. I think the plan to merge this 2 projects was taken only 7-8 months back. Delhi mumbai was planned by NHAI and Virar Alibaug was more led by state government

    What you say is correct! Bridge work over Ulhas river and Kalyan - Karjat railway line near Badlapur is almost at standstill, let's see after the ' extended ' rainy season ends 😮

    When Gadkari was Transport Minister of Maharashtra, he would give contractors bonuses for meeting completion targets. If a contractor finished 50% of a project early, Maha govt would give contactor a bonus and the contractor would use that to hire more workers and accelerate the project.
    I don't think NHAI has that bonus structure (it would be pretty expensive) but such bonuses can be quite the motivator for contractors to finish sooner.

      You are wrong Bhai. This bonus is still there. If I remember Dilip Buildcon or Afcons was given this bonus a few months back.

    Ideally they should complete this road from JNPT to Interchange near Vajreshwari. This will help truckers to use this road to go to Nashik Highway, Ahmedabad highway at least for now. This will offload truck traffic from City roads. And this stretch should be toll free if possible.

    What you say is correct . In Maharashtra lots of projects announced but going on very very slow. Take the Metro projects in Mumbai. 14 projects announced 6 years before. Now work on 5 are not even stared . Other, 7,4,6,9,5 are running very very slow. Will now take another 4 years to complete. Shame shame.

    i think this section is very much near to samruddhi last section, as govt wanted to open samruddhi highway before election they divert all resources towards samruddhi but they didn't succeed, as already elections are declared now they will start again working on this project, after completion of samruddhi, the progress of virar jnpt section will be much much faster , and they will finish it by next year

    In karnataka congress government still work done and in Maharashtra besides bjp not even started, even telengana part completed, this is not problem with party this all about leadership. Because on current time so many party switching i have to remembered which ideology or type of person that party have 😂, we can see rapid devlopment in congress state and many bjp state .
    For reference when delhi mumbai expressway work started congress rule in Rajasthan but they done fabulous work on that and also speed up work but gujarat and mp are work behind 😂.

    Who is the genius who decided to call two sides of the tunnel called 'left' and 'right'? Whether something is left or right depends on which way you are facing. It would be so much better to call them by the absolute names -- south tunnel or east tunnel or whatever is appropriate. Now we have a permanent source of confusion.

      For any kind of road project,, the name is always decided upon,, where the expressway starts and where it ends,,
      For say Delhi to Mumbai Expressway,, that’s why it’s name is delhi Mumbai Expressway,, Nagpur to Mumbai Expressway, so Nagpur Mumbai Expressway.
      So when it comes to the Plan and Profile of the project,, in general drawing,, you have to face towards end,, and your left will be always Lhs and right will be always Rhs.
      For this project,, you will face towards end direction,, means at delhi you will face towards Mumbai ,, that’s how it works. And its a ISO Standards.

      @@dronemanYT Thank you for the explanation, but it is very unfortunate. It may be a rule, but it is not a wise rule. I would encourage you not to follow it. Absolute referencing (or Delhi-bound, Mumbai bound, etc.) would actually get Indians in the habit of using compass-based descriptions. Ask someone for help on how to get from point A to B, and they describe a jalebi -- idhar jao, us taraf mod lo, and so on.

    Its not maharastra per say, but area around dombivli, kalyan, badlapur and around are especially corrupt and deep routed issues with land aquisition.

    I dont think its a issue of Land acquisition. Projects by MSRDC completes before time. Only Centre's projects takes excessive time. I strongly believe its CG biasness towards Maharashtra and wants to delay every project here. CG dont want MH to be no. 1

      🤡any delay only causes increase in costs of the project which central govt will have to bear. Besides govt just awards the contract, it depends on the contractor how quickly the project gets completed.
