    Have you stayed here? I think this is one of the best family hotels in Waikiki, let me know your thoughts in the comments.

      I have never been to Honolulu before. But your videos are encouraging to discover the island of Hawaii! If you had to choose between Hotel Resort The Royal Hawaian Waikiki, Halekulami Resort Hotel Waikiki, Kahala Resort Hotel Waikiki and Sheraton Resort Hotel Waikiki. The decisive element between these magnificent five-star resorts will be the Sheraton Resort Waikiki with its huge swimming pool.
      Thank you for sharing your beautiful, very descriptive videos and your many information.

    Thanks so much for sharing this video and your review.
    I’m 54 now and I was really fortunate to stay here in the late 70s and early 80s as a kid, travelling with my parents. I still remember the sound of walking through the lobby and they had these ornaments that were like a sea shell and would blow in the breeze. My parents loved it so much, they bought something similar to recreate it back home lol I also remember the old tiki bar and my mum and dad had the cups as souvenirs. What a great time and great memories.

      Waikiki was a different vibe back then for sure. Thanks for sharing, brought back some memories. 👍

    Love the property. Stayed there many times. When it was Starwood Property, I got upgraded to Kai Suite when I was a platinum member. When I was just a gold member I was upgraded to Malia Suite. Now Marriott took over my last stay was a Titanium Member, they didn’t even give me a grade. Bonvoy, they treat elites like crap too. They give out these suite upgrade certificates that are useless.

      I am going to try a SNA award for Moana Surfrider, only a one day stay but wish me luck! I here the major resort properties are hard to get SNA approved.

    Yup I was there for 2 weeks back in august of this year ! I had so much fun down there I loved playing pool too lmao and their Baskin robins ice cream was literally right around the corner

      Nice! Nothing like ice cream after a full day in the sun at the pool or beach. The Sheraton Waikiki pools are the best on Oahu I think, especially if you include the adult infinity pool.

      @suitesandlobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      A popular spot for sure, try the Royal Hawaiian next door for less crowds although peak time (summer, Christmas, and spring break) are packed everywhere. April-May and October if you can make those months work. Aloha!

    Great video! I learned a lot! What hotel do you recommend for the ultimate Hawaiian experience? Lei’s, fire shows, hula dancers etc

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Consider Marriott Waikiki Beach which has the Pāʻina Waikiki luau on site. Right across the street from the beach and when I was there recently they had a fire show daily on the pool deck. Enjoy! Video here - th-cam.com/video/WpSepHmxMME/w-d-xo.html

    do they provide robes? Don't see any, any home shoes, either. Just trying to compare with Hyatt Regency I stayed. I like swimming pool and all around, beach including better around Sheraton. Looks like clean room, but Hyatt room is way bigger, sink is much bigger where you can put all your cosmetics, no space here. Hyatt has bigger closet and dresser, plus, 2 nightstands. I am just looking to come back with 3-4 people, afraid the rooms are quit small here. Also, do you know if they ever provide free beach chairs s Hyatt does? Thanks!

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Val, I just stayed at the Hyatt Regency and did a video review, I agree with you that the rooms at the Hyatt are much bigger, at least the basic room. There were no robes provided at the Sheraton, not sure if you can request them. Both hotels will be a great choice but I have to give a nod to the Hyatt for a larger room, enjoy your trip!

    • @vald6735
      @vald6735 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@suitesandlobbies Thanks. This particular Hyatt gave robes under request. Most Hyatt have ribbs in the room so I was surprised not seeing there. But I got one-)))) It was nice to have them! I just like the area, pools and the beach by Sheraton. Walking to the beach from Hyatt through stinky public restroom and homelesses around is not cool. I was not too expressed by Waikiki in that particular area, but want to bring my oversea family to show then Hawaii. Have a feeling will be staying at Hyatt again because of the room size. Also, do you know by any chance if we can use a swimming poo in Sheraton if we do NOT stay there? Swimming pool in Hyatt is a joke. Thanks!

      @@vald6735 Hi Val, You cannot use the Sheraton Waikiki pool unless you are a guest at one of the Marriott Hotels in the area. I check Resort Pass and the also do not have Sheraton Waikiki available. There pool is quite amazing, best family pool in Waikiki. Remember the Sheraton Waikiki has City View Family Room, Guest room, 3 Twins, City view that sleeps 5 people. Check out tinyurl.com/2hg9ed3q to search for rates.

    Great video-do you have to pay for lounge chairs by the pool>?

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shelley, no you don't need to pay for those, first come first serve. The adult infinity pool is the most popular so get there at opening if you plan to hang out. The family pool you can wait a bit longer if you are not picky about where you sit but dont wat to long :)
