Very informative video👍 I use the ORX with the elliptical coil so I would imagine that it would be similar to your XP DEUS setup. The ORX is very stabilized in highly mineralized ground and very precise with small targets (I prefer running at 31khz). I was shocked to see that the DEUS 2 could not pick up the smallest target running at a single frequency 40khz (if I understood that setting correctly). Looks like I will stick to my single frequency elliptical coil!

Thanks, yes the Deus is very similar to the ORX setup. The Deus 2 running the 40 kHz was not in a gold mode so doesn't surprise me that it wouldn't pick up the tiny nugget. If they added a separate goldfield mode with selectable single frequency it most likely would have picked it up just fine.

Thanks for the video. It was interesting reading the comments. Greetings from Austria.

Thanks again for these videos very helpful they definitely need to have that HF coil for this new unit

if you change frequency on a detector, you have to groundbalance it again. Just my two cents

Nice test, and results pretty much as I'd expect. The Equinox seems to be reacting a lot, so would have been nice to see how much signal is lost with a lower sensitivity. How good does that GPX sound! Music to my ears. A little more threshold and Fine Gold may have just picked up that first one, but yeah on targets that small, the best PI would be the GPX6000. Deus 1, not for me, that audio is just grinding to my ears.

Thanks. Yea sensitivity was at 20 could have probably dialed it back a little on those deeper larger nuggets. I usually don't use fine gold but I'll have to try it in the future.

On deus ii must be a good balanced every individual program. On Deus mono you need to adjust the reactivity to between 0 and 1. You need to remove and iron discrimination. I am not sure but I am very happy how it works on golf fiel mode

Geez did the Equinox smoke them on the tiny stuff or am I missing something?

      I thought so.

I thought the D1 had it. But the Nox came second.

Park 2 multi Grequency. All metal mode kill gold nugget

D2 not a good choice for tiny nugget hunting.

But I’m not sure of the point of scanning those tiny nuggets… because realistically nobody is going to dig signals that sound like ground interference.. yes maybe you can hear something if your right on top of something.. but in a real field environment you would never dig or even find fragments of targets..

We dig signals like that all the time when looking for gold. So it really does apply if you're a nugget hunter.

I would want to find those small nuggets because they indicate where the gold is. And fine gold is worth processing if I have learned anything from Aussie Gold Hunters! So I would use the D1 because it hit the tiny nuggets and is so light. And I used to design the best detectors in the 1970s and bought one of the first PI machines for my next door neighbour to ship to their son who had just emigrated to Australia for nugget hunting.
      Probably around 1972.

I would, and do, and it finds me the tiny stuff.
