    Thank you so much for this video! Your technique makes the most sense to me out of all the videos I've watched . . . Feel like I can do this now without losing my mind ha!

    when you wipe over grout with paper towel how do you stop it from wiping off grout portion and how long before you start wiping off

      I let the grout dry for a minute or two and gently wiped the excess.

    Does wiping it down while the paint is wet leave a "caste" on the tiles?

    • @yourerightimwrong4567
      @yourerightimwrong4567 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, did you try leaving it on and using a razor to remove the excess?

      She’s using way too much, they say to let dry 5-10 min. I’ve seen where the expert let dry and used a scraper after

    I'm about to tackle a large area..I had an idea of putting the stain in a squeeze bottle and running a thin line down the grout, then using the brush after. Seems to maybe save time? And less wipe off?

      the professional that came to my house for a quote used a squeeze bottle, his was large but I'm thinking a smaller one would give more control. He still went over it with a toothbrush looking brush. didn't make as big of a mess though with spray bottle.

    • @jenniferfitzgerald1796
      @jenniferfitzgerald1796 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s how the experts do it. Or with a toothbrush. She’s wasting a lot of the stain.

    how has it held up in the shower? has the water caused it to fade or does it still look good?

    • @kellyallen9330
      @kellyallen9330 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I touched up a couple of places, but it still looks good. No color fade with daily use..

    When I wipe mine while it’s still wet it kind of wipes it off the grout too

      My grout was completely dry when I stained mine,.

    • @doughboy9038
      @doughboy9038 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      sharkbait42010 I mean when I wipe the grout stain off while the stain is still wet. Not the grout itself. You were wiping the stain off the tiles right after putting the stain on but when I do the stain wipes off a little

      @@doughboy9038 I have the same problem, my stain wipes off when I wipe the tiles. I'm getting nowhere :-(

    • @doughboy9038
      @doughboy9038 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TomKershner if you have smooth tiles like me then it might work if you let it dry a good bit and then use a magic eraser or a hard brissled rubbing pad to wipe the grout off the tiles. Do a test spot to start with to see what time and pad works the best for you.

    Did you clean the grout first? I see the directions say to do that. Just wondering how it looks if you didn't put the cleaning agent in first.

    • @sharkbait42010
      @sharkbait42010  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I did clean it first. So far it has held up well. There were a couple spots I redid, but looks good.

      I believe it was a stiff bristled one. It was one I paint pictures with.

      Yes. I did the entire area around the tube and two coats in the shower.

    Great video. Is it waterproof?

    • @sharkbait42010
      @sharkbait42010  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far, it is waterproof. I did notice it will wear off if you scrub real hard while cleaning. I discovered if I spray the whole thing with clorox spray bleach cleaner and let it sit. It does not wear.

    Smaller brush, you’re wasting a lot on the tile.
