I was a UMich and Yankees fan. Drew Henson should have picked one lane early and went with it. Too high expectations. Too many possibilities. Sad that he didn't pan out in either.

Henson should have just went to the NFL, made his money from 1 contract, and then go after baseball if he so desired.

I was a Drew Henson fan, he just coudnt handle pressure. Tom Just had "IT", and developed everything else as he aged.

Good job describing it. I was a teenager and remember the narrative then. Everyone wanted Drew but Tom was too good to bench. I would never say I predicted Tom would be great but he learned to face adversity at Michigan. Trust me I’m a OSU fan and I wanted Henson because I felt he wasn’t ready. Of course that was the LLoyd Carr years where he owned Cooper and we suffered for years.

@jasonl7937 yeah, Drew Henson was too good to bench in my eyes, to the point that I didn't like Tom Brady. I graduated high school in '00, in Southern Michigan. That QB battle divided alot of Michigan fans. Kinda crazy.

​@@dirtymikesnow haha yeah I'm a Buckeye and remember the whole debate and Carrs press conferences and I remember wanting Brady to face us but there wasn't much prehype on Brady being a west coast guy but Drew was all over the news as the top recruit when he first picked TTUN
