Why did Drew not do so well in the NFL?

If Henson had stayed at Mich in 2001 for his senior year he could have been a top rate NFL quarterback. Instead he took the Yankees $$ but never could hit ML pitching.

@@zacharycat603 Ohh. Wow so he should have stayed; I wonder if he regrets it.
Is ML pitching a lot harder than minor leagues?

You cannot change the fact that he was just an average at best college QB, no matter how much you fawn over him now.

He obviously improved once in the NFL but c’mon an “average” college quarterback doesn’t get drafted

@@ChaseChats Yeah they do, but he was an average QB at UofM,

@@ChaseChats All you have to do is go look at his stats in college to see he was well below average in college.

Not true. How is 20 td vs 6.ints average?? 62 percent comp pct? Above 60 was the gold standars back them. He was named team MVP on a top 5 team full of future NFL pros. How are you voted the best player on a top 5 team and just average?? Youre really just saying it because of where he was drafted. Brent Musburger called him the most underrated QB in the country and said he would be a gem for some team on Sundays. Street and Smith had him projected as a 2nd or 3rd rd pick and predicted that he would be successful early. Ask Penn State how average he was. Or Wisconsin. Or Purdue. Or Alabama. Or Michigan State. Do you know Brady had to be just become the starter at UM when he was recruited by a regime that was no longer there when he arrived? He couldvs easily got lost in the shuffle, but he didnt. Drew Henson, the No.1 recruit and most highly touted QB prospect in the programs' history, never started a game while Brady was there. The same Drew Henson who was likely gonna be a top 3 pick in the 2001 or 2002 draft had he not went to play baseball. If Brady was so average, why not give the job to the young phenom with the MLB leverage?

@UC5OClZRF9wb5JRdP1A3RI8g you failed to answer of refute anything I said. Typical, predictable response. I guess Kyle Boller was a great QB in college because he was drafted high, huh?? I have the original Street and Smith 2000 draft preview where he was projected as a 2nd round pick and was spotlighted. They called him the most underrated QB in the draft and said he had enough natural talent to contribute immediately and was a real competitor too. The bad 40 time mad ppl run away. But before that, pre draft magazines were high on him. How do you get voted team MVP and be below average?? Why didnt the phenom who was projected as a top 3 pick, never overtake him? Brady in a running offense somehow set the record for most attempts and completions in a single season. He beat a top 5 PSU team on the road full of NFL talent. Beat the back to bacl Rose Bowl champion Wisconsin, twice. I watched this mans entire college career. Draft positoning is a crapshoot. Kyle Boller completed less than 50 percent of his passes but got drafted in the top 10 by a supposed guru. And Boller was coming from a Jeff Tedford offenss which turner Akili Smith and Joey Harrington to elite NCAA QBs and top 3 picls prior.
