The biggest factor for the seismic (and praesul) crash are t95 wand/orb. The t95s are so accessible that, other than keepsakes, there's no reason to buy t90/92.

There needs to be a way to discover the actual price of an item without having to "buy at highest, and sell at lowest". The grand exchange needs to reflect actual prices of an item and not set prices of an item. It is insanely annoying to see an item that is reflected as worth 50k gp, and sell at 1.5k. The fuck. Reflect actual prices, not set prices. The stock markets for example have bid/ask chart, which showcases, in real time, what the current sellers are asking for the item and what buyers are offering for the item. This makes prices actually reflect the current supply/demand of the underlying item. GE needs to have the same system. Reflect the actual price of an item based on its bid/ask ratio, rather than some set price that is set as a what, an average?
That would be terrible for the economy. there are other games such as gw2 that have systems like that and it's just overall a terrible system. It makes it much easier for people to manipulate the market and set prices to whatever they want.

Speaking of prices.... One thing I'll be watching out for 2025 is the price on discontinued rares, specifically the correlation on the price spikes between rares and crypto and I think you should also be keeping an eye on this as to it would be great content to cover that no one else has. Back in 2020-2021, Bitcoin was making history and breaking all time highs all while rares were doing the same thing with blue phats hitting an insane all-time high of 200+b. When the crypto bull run ended, and bitcoin was dropping, losing 80% of its value from its ATH, so was the prices of rares within the game. Blue phats went from 200+b to 60b. Well it just so happens that a new bull market cycle started about a month ago and crypto is pumping again. A month ago, red ween masks were running 4-4.5b, today, people are selling them for 6b. Coincidence?! Time will tell. If the prices of discontinued rares continue to spike these next 12-18 months, it'll show and prove that discontinued rares are being controlled and manipulated by the black market sellers. I'll also be keeping an eye as this information will make me so much gp 😂
I checked the price of my ascension crossbows last night. I got absolutely destroyed. I bought my pair for about 300m a few years ago. Now they’re worth like 100m for the pair. I hate this.
Me too. I took a few year break and came back last year. Had ascensions and numerous drygores. Didn't lose much in the drygs but the ascensions broke my heart lol
Seismics are shockingly cheap for what they cost once, but not surprising at the same time because Magic isn't as strong as it used to be, not to mention Necro overshadows the Magic style by a lot. By the way, now we know for sure that a Seismic weapon will be required to make the Masterwork staff, and Seismic prices did increase slightly when the 110 fletching update was released, so there are probably a few merchants who are trying to buy them up before the Masterwork staff release. Edit: Also, forgot to mention, but a ton of players are playing GIM right now, so the demand for a lot of items has decreased understandably.
No other mage weapon other than fsoa and t95 wand/orb will be relevant for mage as you can genesis both to t100 and both have bis spec for their style. We know masterwork staff wont have any spec so it will just bridge the gap between t90/t92 to t95 staff cost

Seismics dropped because the T95 are just so easy to get (praesuls also dropped like 1b ea weapon). Seismics may go back up however on the release of the runecrafting update. The masterork 2h sword needed the T90 drygores, the mw bow needs the T90 ascensions, so speculation could assume the the Mw staff needs the T90 seismics. The mw weapons are T100 and its pretty much been confirmed that after the release of the staff they're getting some sort of passive/spec so if thats the case may have demand and the T90s go up (as an ingredient to make them).
