    Good job!
Thank you for your brake videos for the CLS550. You are very clear and easy to understand. I have a 2007 CLS550. I urge you to make more videos on DIY type repairs for the CLS550. There is very little repair information on the web for this vehicle.

      John Salla - thanks bro!
I really have not had any other repairs. The car has been very reliable

Your rotor came off very easy. Even though the parking brake was off on my 2009, my rotor was hung up on the parking brake shoes. Had to fight to get it off.

It happens some times. Just pull it off a strait as possible.

Nice video. I changed the front brakes and rotors yesterday (first time doing this), and am now studying up to do the rears. What did you torque the caliper bolts to? Looking at my car yesterday, I was concerned about getting access to these w/ a socket, but you seemed to do fine with it.

The Axel pack does not include the sensor. I bought the sensor on Partsgeek.com for $8. You only need 1 sensor.

I followed ur oinstructs, rotor isint sliding off? Thanks for the vid

Make sure the E-Brake is off. The Rotor will not slide off with the E-Brake on. If the E-Brake is still too tight; then use a flat blade screw driver to release the tension on the brake by turning the gear wheel tensioner.

    Hello,
Great video by the way, I have a 06 cls500 and I want to try and change them out my self. Do I need to bleed out the brake line or just follow step by step how you did it by just uncapping the reservoir? Any feed back would be highly appreciated.
    Thank You

You do not need to bleed the brakes unless you open the hydraulic system. I do not open the system, I use a compression tool to compress the cylinder. I never open the hydraulic side unless I’m changing out the brake fluid; which you should do every 3 or 4 years.

So after your done inserting the brake pads you use a compression tool to make sure you seat the brake pads against the rotors??

    • @Mikio-ik4yc

Or do you just install pads and that's it..I have a cls 550 08..and want to give it a try myself..thanks and great video
