Because all the hype was around the aura of college football, and the game day experience, blah blah blah and not the actual gameplay and depth overall. Look at the game and how empty it is now over two months of being out. All they can do is basically fix bugs and add uniforms. They can’t make dynasty anymore immersive because there’s so many features missing and so many limitations on the role-playing aspect of it. It’s basically a bunch of team entrance, cut scenes and arcade style gameplay marketed as college football
They have Road to Glory mode, but I don't believe you start in high school anymore, so that's gone. They also don't allow you to export your draft classes over to Madden anymore so that's a huge loss.
Solid take... Madden has been terrible for like 8 years now. This video will either age poorly or prove to be correct. I actually can't wait to find out I'm buying in.
Yeah, EA will either surprise us, and deliver an actual football game this time (highly unlikely), or it will be the same thing we've come to expect from them time after time. EA hasn't given us ANY reason to be hopeful that they can put together a great football game, but we shall see.
