Two people were killed and others were injured when a driver suspected of being under the influence crashed into a crowd celebrating the Fourth of July holiday at a New York City park.

It's time for a comprehensive discussion about common sense car control laws.

Only two people were killed, mass shootings often end with dozens of people dead. Cars are potentially dangerous, but they are also necessary for transportation, unlike certain firearms like AR-15s and ak-47s. If you're going to argue that cars are dangerous and we don't ban them so we can't ban guns either, you could use that bad logic to justify making ANYTHING legal. We can't ban civilians from driving cars, so we can't ban civilians from having nukes either. The intelligent way to approach the issue is to look at how vital the thing in question is to society, how dangerous it is when misused, and then pass laws accordingly. Or we could go around spewing out tired anti-gun control arguments that make no sense over and over in the comments of TH-cam and never actually think about if our position makes logical sense.
