8:42 Every time I go to Bryher there is always some form of storm or weather event. I've noticed that the locals always say, "This is unusual, it's never normally like this". They're lying. It is always some weather about to happen. I don't think there is a bylaw that says they should pretend that they don't get exceptional weather, but I hear this comment every time I go. It doesn't matter how bad the weather is though, the good days always make up for it. There is nothing, but nothing, that prepares you for the colour of the sea and the sky in Scilly. And like @tawnywitch below, I get tearful when I leave (and when I return, I always think, "I'm home").
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate the honest heads up the weather being inconsistent regularly. I'll temper my future expectations. I will be back there next year, god willing. It is a very special place.
3 weeks and we will be back, not sure how many times we've been but it's the only place I cry when it's time to leave .
We have been going for 30 yrs, absolutely stunning place that has got under our skin, only three weeks to go!! ❤
