Very helpful video covering many of the 'normal', but very real, issues that most of us DIY'ers would encounter. Thanks for taking the time.

For awhile I was on a kick to get a nice rail square for my Makita track saw. I went with the Black Fonsom guide from Ali Express. It was dead square. I also tried a very cool rail square adapter from a shop called Tool theory. Again dead square. These rail squares are a pretty good deal in my opinion. Great video. Thanks.

Good Vid Frank, I found it really informative. I looked at these a while ago and wondered if they didn't spend all the machining time making all the hex cut outs and fancy holes and just produced a piece of plate with the alignment blocks and the clamp they could sell it for half the price. Same with Bench Dog stuff they make it look pretty with anodising and engraving etc and sell it as 'Premium'. most of us just want accuracy and functionality for our workshops. there is no need to pretty things up. My dad was a Blacksmith, have you ever seen anything that looked 'Pretty in a Blacksmith's tool kit. I have adapted my 12 inch framing square to fit on my rail with just 2 x M8 bolts and it works fine. Might be interesting to try a comparison vid between the two. Love your channel and the humorous out takes. Thanks for all you do.

😁 Thanks Tom. I 100% agree with the "blacksmith" workshop. But love to watch a blacksmith at work, so much skill 😃. I guess once the CNC design is done for these squares then there is no extra cost to make it look fancy. I am really pleased with it so far for the price and accuracy. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

Looks good for the price and square straight out the box you don't always get that with premium tools, i was given a flat tape measure and i have to say it makes marking much more accurate .👍

For tippy cuts just slide the rail square up towards the centre of the rail. That balances the track.

My guess is that if we in America could pay a 12 year old five cents an hour to make these the savings would be there. If China couldn’t copy every good idea someone has they would still be living in caves and chucking rocks at each other. They are equivalent to the stupid kid in school who copied off everyone else’s work to get by.

I have and use the TSO system... very well made and accurate, but expensive. I also picked up one of these cheaper Chinese squares (I got the 260mm version for ~$30 USD) and find it rather good. The thickness surprised me... I was expecting it to be half of what it is nd plenty beefy to stand up to use. It lives on my small Makita 39" rail for quick short cuts, saving me from having to purchase another TSO square (>$175 USD) or swap my good square on/off all the time. It seems plenty accurate enough for short cut use.

Alright mate? That's a proper little belter of a square for the track.. U can get some decent ones from Banggood and they have the little metal clip thingy to stop it from flipping. Maybe u already know about that site anyways biut I just thought I'd mention it. Brilliant video though my friend.
Just found ur channel and I sub'd after this video bcos u went through this comprehensively.
I have a question if u have the time to let me know please bro..
Is that TITAN Plunge saw any way worth buying and how long have u used it for? I know it's not as good as a Festool, Makita or the other top brands but u obviously still use it for straight cuts and the likes..
I just bought the KREG ACCU CUT GUIDE RAIL today for 100 pounds terling here in Ireland from Amazon and it's a nice piece of kit but I'm in the market for a half decent track saw. Plunge saw with rails and I would love to hear what u really think of that TITAN Plunge saw?? I would very much appreciate ur opinion if u have the time or maybe u have a video on it?
Enjoyed this video man.. Keep up the great work..

😃 Hi Slim. Firstly thanks very much for the sub, much appreciated 😁👍. I've been looking at Banggood for a while now but still haven't got anything from them yet, but from what I have seen there is some good stuff on there at good prices. I'm sure ill use them at some point soon 😁. As far as the Titan tracksaw is concerned, I've had it a few years now and still love it 😃. For the price I paid for it it is great value for money. The only down side is that it is a little heavy, but sometimes that's a good thing 😁. It fits well in a genuine Festool rail. And it always gives a good clean cut. Easy to change the blade. I'm sure there are much much better ones but you will pay much much more for them. I would buy it again any day 😁. Hope that helps Slim. Thanks again for watching 🥊😁👍
