I am so glad that TSO is supporting the Kreg plunge saw. Back when COVID first shut everything down, I needed a track saw for a remodeling project. At the time, the only saw in stock in my area was the Kreg. It works very well and I'm happy with it. But, one of my regrets about the saw is that there is very little third-party accessories available for it. The Kreg accessories work, but they are more fiddlely than they need to be and can be difficult to work with.

love your tip and must-have tool recommendations. I have purchased a number of tools you have recommended over the course of your videos and I agree highly agree with your assessments in most cases. Recently purchased this tool and I love it. Thank you for the various videos. Keep up the good work. I see Festool now has you on their video program as a guest or backup.
The TSO MTR-X is a great looking tool. WoodPeckers has a new tool that looks interesting and would work with the TSO MTR-X . The new tool is called ALIGN-A-SAW SYSTEM amd it has a component tool called Align-A-Saw Plate Only and it makes calibrating you table saw easier.
The miter gauge alignment procedure shown starting at 9:25 in the video is not accurate. Miter gauges should be aligned with the face/fence to the bar, not to the blade. As shown in the video, any misalignment between the blade and miter slots will manifest itself in the accuracy of the angle. Think about using a miter gauge on a router table or bandsaw - you wouldn't think of aligning to the router bit or bandsaw blade, yet you can get accurate cuts if you align the miter face/fence to the miter bar.
Everybody doing something in a systainer with small parts needs a "small parts container'. Many of my systainer items end up coming out of the systainer because I don't feel like they hold the odds and ends well. I think this was a great bit of coverage on this tool. I had been hesitant on this one even though I'm very happy with my TSO tools because I didn't have a feel for why it wasn't just another triangle. As much as I love good triangles, they're big expenses. Now that I see this, this will actually perform many tasks for me on the MFT. For example, I don't have a good tool for doing mitered cuts on the MFT track and this will help. I don't use a fence at all with the track saw on the MFT using parf dogs as a wall and TSO TDS dog stops for repeatable cuts and a square like this could perform the same task as the dogs in many cases. Honestly, I'd love to have a setup where nothing is permanently attached to the MFT surfaces, but the Dashboard hinge is so reliable I haven't found a way to replace it. For example, I've tried the UJK Dog Rail clips or Adjustable Height Guide Rail dogs, but I find for single cuts they slow down setup compared to using the Dashboard and the Rail clips cut parallel right down saw holes. They're better if you're using a smaller, easier to move piece of guide rail.
One thing I can't seem to understand is whether the TSO parallel guides can attach to the MTR - X when it's set to 90 degrees? I want to spend the extra money to have this for a square and also to cut angles but if I can't attach the parallel guides to cut square edges repeatedly at same lengths for a shelf/cabinet then I may have to go with the GR-16.
Just bought this 2 weeks ago and now returning it. Despite being so expensive, I really wanted to love it for how precise and practical it would be. The triangle itself seems square, same as the alignment of the holes for pins and dogs, but the protractor markings are off. TSO customer support was quick, but wouldn't recognize the issue. Very disappointed.

I love my Dewalt radial arm saws. I have seen where some people have incorporated a miter slot 90 degrees to the fence and use a precision miter gauge and never take their Dewalt off of 90. I think two dog holes 90 degrees to the fence and one of TSOs triangles to act as a fence would be just as good if not better.
If you were going to purchase one or the other since you have both, would you buy this or the guide rail square, which I was planning to get pondering this one now
Guy, that would depend on the cost of each. This square can do the same thing as the guide rail square with a few more functional uses. Do you have a MFT or track saw? Do you have other woodworking machines that a square fence to table is needed? I replaced my original Festool track brackets on the mft due to slop when squaring for cuts, with a dashboard system for the mft that came with mft table to track square for squaring the table and track. @@bombamanwa ....and Festool, and............. Hard to watch this stuff with an open mind. If fact I don't watch once I see the direction. Stick with project, tips, tricks and the like. 😞
@@Norm7264 it is right there in the video description
Yep, commercial for over priced products!
@@heystarfish100 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just use pocket square
Because it is so damn expensive...lol
but is it actually expensive? What's expensive is the thing you bought but never used
@@AaronGeller Just a FYI...I have the larger one. Which they did release the attachment so it can be used the same way . I bought the attachment.
@@Trickmanii my point is that if we buy something but never use it, then it’s expensive. If we buy something and use it all the time then it’s not expensive. It’s the value you get out of it
Yeah. Too expensive.
How so?
You make something whit all those tools because the new yankee workshop make a beautiful wood work whit out those tools sorry all those tools are not for wood workers they are for money spenders
I mean, the Romans made neat things too without power tools, but if I could go back in time and give them power tools, I would be super wealthy because they would pay a high price for our technology.
And woodworking is expensive, that's how it is.
Oh fun, everybody’s getting in on these dumb titles!
Lmao. All these guys are so behind the trends it’s laughable. Clickbait titles went out with buzzfeed guys. Not that they even know what that is. Should catch up to them in about 5 years.
@@Codeyellow this isn't even clickbait
I don’t understand why you insist on a title like Spencely 😂
It works for Spencely but it wasn’t like Spencely pioneered it. I had a better idea of what this was about than any of Eric’s videos (which I generally enjoy)
Meh 🤷♂️
Nothing but a advertisement. And a waste of your money.
Jason is just demonstrating the many uses... and you can't tell me or anyone else what's a waste of THEIR money.
