Before it gets tore down, and after Jordan gets all of his stuff moved out, can we get a grand tour of the old house. Same kind of thing as what you just did with the new build. Just showing the quality, or lack there of, the structure. I’m so happy for you guys, and congrats on finally getting the white baby in her new home!
They did a video on the house when they first got it, and another video remodeling one of its bathrooms on a budget, it was a long time ago though so it would be interesting to see if it got even worse in the last couple of years
@@radondar9230 I was talking about is the old house. To the best of my knowledge what he meant was during the livestream they were going to be going through the finished build, not the old house.
When you do your epoxy floor, I strongly recommend doing a coved skirt in the epoxy instead of just skirting board. no edges for dirt to build up in and protection from any water ingress into the garage. I'm still loving the Stud Pack house build. Good to know we've got years more content on the main house.
@24:32 The apparent movement of the suns position over the year is an analemma. Cheers on one step closer to the finished product. Its been an insane ride.
Having followed you guys since the beginning, this video actually brought some tears to my eyes. It makes no sense! I don't know you at all, but there's something about your honesty & perseverance that makes all of you very likable. Can't wait for the main house!

Congrats stud pack. For your first ever building you’ve ever build by yourself. It looks like a mini home a Rama house. I work for builders that have been. This series totally rocks!! And from reading many of the comments, we are all excited for your final approval to move in soon!! All the best to you, sir!!
Absolutely gorgeous apartment above the garage. It’s been a fun journey watching you all build this. I’m excited to see the upcoming live stream. I have one request. Doesn’t need to be a full episode, but I would like to see a finical breakdown of the build. I know that you didn’t pay for all the appliances, but from start to finish, maybe by section (framing, electrical, etc) total cost to include all the free stuff, what this build cost. Again, love it, Jordan you are super lucky to have a dad like Paul! Can’t wait til you start on the main house!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is my favorite channel on TH-cam. You guys put on the only show that I anticipate each week like I was still a kid in the 80's, and it's been that way for years.
What an accomplishment for the Father - Sons combo!! Congrats guys!! One suggestion I would make for the house is to run Cat5e/Cat6 EVERYWHERE. I know that WiFi has come a very long way but trust me, nothing can beat the reliability, speed, and bandwidth of a hardwired connection. What many don't know or realize is that even the most advanced WiFi routers can 1) Only handle X amount of devices connected at once, 2) Can only provide so much speed wirelessly (most gigabit routers are only gigabit for wired connections), 3) The more devices you connect, the more microwave interference gets introduced which affects speed and latency, and 4) Bandwidth degrades with distance and walls. All of that to say, If I were building a new home, I'd have 1 or 2 network runs to every TV, desk, camera, doorbell, and any place where I knew that I would have a device that can/could accommodate a hardwired network connection. All of those runs would go to a centralized closet or cabinet that would house all of my internet and network gear. The more and more smart devices that you add to your WiFi, the more networking/internet issues arise. Hardwiring these devices significantly decreases those issues and increases the speed, bandwidth, and overall performance of your network. I'm an IT pro with over 10 years experience and I wouldn't mind giving some advice or direction on how to pull this off!!
Y’all have created a wonderful community of loyal fans by taking us on this amazing journey with you. Thank you and congratulations 🎉. We are all excited to participate in the next phase.
Learning about those 3M adhesive zip tie anchors was the best part of this video! I’ve never seen those before. You guys always educate me on the coolest things!
Those work great as long as they are mounted on a bottom surface like that, not on a wall. With a wall or overhead mount, they come with holes in the middle you can insert a screw and screw them into the wall or ceiling. The tape can fall off otherwise.
@@moonpiespotlight4759 I had some silicone neon led strip and found out quick its very difficult to stick anything to silicone -- had to make custom aluminum clips for the led neon, then use double stick tape.
Yes I got some with the foam double stick tape on them and had them stuck around all my window frames outside my house for a easy place to zip tie Christmas lights. They definitely yellowed over time with UV but they stuck great for 5-10 years.
FINALLY! BIG CONGRATS STUD PACK! It's been a lot of fun watching you bring this epic garage into a reality and I'm sure there are MANY others, like me, who are eagerly waiting to see the house go through the same process!
"Basic garage " he says, LOL yeah right. Pauls art idea of following the sun would be awesome. Great video guys and Paul, you're a great spokesman for the series.

Congrats, what a wonderful place you guys built! It’s coming to fruition and I feel like I was part of the journey. Looking forward to the next journey!

Watching this building go up has always been fun and I look everyday for your newest video. Looking forward to the next stage. Beautiful job!!
I remember watching the first stud pack house video and hearing you talk about problems with permits and planning. I never thought I'd actually be able to watch you build this house from start to finish. This is so inspiring and educational. Thanks for all you guys do!
It's been a pleasure to watch the garage mahal build from the beginning, including the setbacks and solutions. I love all the great material and design choices as well as the attention to so many details!
I should not feel invested in the project like I do, but you guys are so likeable and real! Congrats on all of your hard work. I can't wait to watch you guys dig into the main house!
Love the video and the stang in the Garage closing it out. After getting the Occupancy permit , would love to see the Build with all the lights on at Night again and with Jordan furniture moved in. Thanks for taking us along for the ride
You guys are amazing! Congratulations, the place is stunning. I wouldn't worry too much about softening the front yet because when the main house is done it won't look so abrupt anymore. If it still seems like it needs something you can do it then, but you might be surprised how much the main house changes the whole look and feel of the property. I second doing a tour of the old house right before it goes bye-bye. And this time dig the foundation in the winter before it starts raining all the time!!! That whole journey was such a roller coaster ride; heartbreaking watching Jordan in the middle of the night seeing all your hard work turn to mud soup. Also, the word you're looking for is "analemma" (the figure 8 the sun makes). I LOVE the idea of doing that on the wall!
Dang. It's amazing to think back at the mud pit foundation issues and where you're at now. Since you mentioned the world series, here's some beer money for the "7th inning stretch" of the house build. Excited to see how the rest of it goes! Also, if you haven't considered it already, those workshop dust filtration units do a great job keeping fine sawdust off minisplits and whatnot. Useful if you're making cuts with the doors shut. I don't recall whether you had something like that installed - or if you found something space-age that'll be installed later 😆
This is so inspiring. This right here is my goal in life, to plan, build and enjoy my own custom home on some property in Texas. Currently just a 21 year old Canadian apprentice electrician lol, good work on the electrical Paul!
Dont worry about adding anything to the front of the garage yet because omce you do the house and detail the front of that it will change the way the front of the garage looks in that regards. Phenomenal job guys!
Woohoo!!! You did it! Jordan, you have got to be ecstatic to finally live in a home that will stay clean, and bug (and anything else that decided to make their way inside) free. This has got to take a lot of pressure off to finally be able to fully relax when not working. Paul, Jordan, Rad, and all of the guys that helped with different projects throughout the build, congratulations! The Garagemahal looks absolutely amazing!! I am looking forward to the main house build. ❤
Definitely agree on having that laser. I use it for everything from tile layouts, framing, hanging pictures so the center line is exact in a room, etc. Even used it to figure trench depth outside once when I couldn't find my line level.
I’m happy for you guys. Been a long run in this project and it turned out so good. Looking forward to the main house build content. I will definitely be watching the live on Sunday. Studpack rules!
Nice job Paul, Jordan and Rad. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. Can’t wait for the demo and start of the main house. I wanted to mention. Nice score from Milwaukee Tools. Their quality and versatility is unmatched. Cheers🍻
The change in acoustics in the closet under the stairs is AMAZING! It sounds so much better with the bottom of the stairs diffusing the reflected sound. Maybe you can get an acoustics company to consult on the main house build so you can take steps during the build to avoid the long reverb time that you have in the apartment. I’ve lived with no cooktop for 20 years and it’s fine. I like to take my induction hot plate or air fryer out onto the porch to keep cooking smells outside. I got an aluminum table with porcelain tiles for the top and it’s been great as an outdoor kitchen. Try it!
I went to smash my “like” button, but decided it needed to be “suspended” from my screen first. So, I bought a couple of lasers to make sure it was square and then pulled it off and set in some spacers behind it. SMASH!
So happy for y’all. Sure looks different from that muddy hole in the ground. Great job & can’t wait for the house build. Best of luck & I’ll be watching & rooting for ya.
Your channel has evolved so well. I was only expecting a video on the garage lights, instead it was a full tour. Keep up the great work! The two buildings next to each other, one stout, the other dying on the vine. Congratulations you did it!
I've been watching your build since the start and I don't think I missed an episode. I've enjoyed them all and learned tons; I've also enjoyed "hanging out" with you all. I look forward to the house build and, congratulations on the almost move-in-ready permission from the permit office.
I have absolutely loved following your journey of the Garagemahall!! I have learned so much from you guys over the years. A big thank you to you all for all the blood , sweat and tears to bring us all the exceptional content along the way. Can't wait to see the start of the house. 😊👍😍
Congrats on the progress - great content over the past 2 years and all of Stud Pack!!!! Do the solar markings on the stairway - fabulous idea.....Significant milestones. Keep up the OUTSTANDING content.
Adding another "congratulations" from an OG viewer to the pile of many well deserved "congratulations" that you have already received. Furthermore, thank you for so generously and openly sharing this journey with us each and every step of the way. Cheers!
I can't believe it's been 2 years 😳 Time has flown since you dug the foundations and it ended up a soupy muddy mess after the storm, even after Jirdan had to get soaked outside to cover the trenches in a hurry. That was crazy, but now you have the most beautiful garage and apartment ever. It makes the old house look like a shambles with all the wires and stuff draped around tge outside walls. So excited for the main house build 🥳
Been watching you guys for a long time. When you we're dealing with the mud pit we were still planning our first build, and bow were hopefully just s couole of weeks from getting our CO! We had to learn how to lay out a foundation, and dig the footings. We helped pour the footings, did all the framing, up until this house we'd never done more than frame a few walls here and there. We did the drywall, trim, floors, painting. We did hardie board, first time ever doing siding. I stained the cabinets last night and will be installing them tomorrow. It truly is an awesome feeling standing in a house that didn't exist until you built it! I picked up a lot of good tips from you guys. Can't wait to see the main house build.
Very nice build! On that deck you need to add an antenna Jack in case you want to move the TV outside to watch something outside. I have done that with my main terrace,a blessing.
Thank you for the tips and tricks! My vote for flooring is luxury vinyl plank flooring because it is easy to install and looks incredibly realistic in appearance. I had mine floating atop the concrete floor.
It has been a long journey, but I can still remember tearing down that shack and now it’s a full blown garage. Amazing work Stud Pack and you also have a second channel!! Woohoo!
Stud Pack Team the progress on this is amazing! Super excited for you all. I have been here from the beginning! I can't wait till this is done! That garage is going to be sick with the epoxy floor. I do agree that the front needs a little spice added to it. Maybe something above the windows, not sure, but I'm sure you guys will come up with something sleek for sure!
Proud of you guys! That's been a LOT of work but yes, that feeling of pride to be in/on something you've not only designed, but spent years bringing into existence... it's a great feeling! I haven't done something of that scale, but have done a deck and a shed, both to high standards, and I love seeing the process I documented on social media each year in my memories... Similar to how anticipation/planning of a vacation can be just as fun as the event/memories... the journey and memories of a project can be as much fun as the final product. Well done!
Epic project guys! Paul, Brandon and Rad did great work. And you had some awesome contractors helping. Joel and the concrete guys. That muddy mess! I thought you would have quit at the second storm that ruined the footings but Jordan made the right call and it all came together. Thanks for the content!
Congratulations on your house! I have a "small" challenge for you for the main house build - or for the demolition to be precise: find out which building materials can be recycled in your area (wood, glass, metals etc.), and then ensure as much of the house is actually recycled instead of put into landfill. It will mean more work, but that is the same as with doing the dishes after dinner. It is better in the long run.
Beautiful garage / Apt and it was great watching you build it. Extremely Informative and interesting. Looking forward to watching you build the main house good luck. Hopefully I will see you Sunday at 2:00 PM for you're alive broadcast

Exterior awnings OVER the three front windows would help give it character and most importantly help with that hot sun in the living space up there.

The two buildings next to each other, one stout, the other dying on the vine.
Congratulations you did it!
I bought a Bosch laser based on your recommendation a few years back. Totally worth it. Don't need it that often, but when I do it's just gold.
I've been watching your build since the start and I don't think I missed an episode. I've enjoyed them all and learned tons; I've also enjoyed "hanging out" with you all. I look forward to the house build and, congratulations on the almost move-in-ready permission from the permit office.
What an accomplishment! Excellent job to the three of you, it’s been a joy to watch this come together!
I have absolutely loved following your journey of the Garagemahall!! I have learned so much from you guys over the years. A big thank you to you all for all the blood , sweat and tears to bring us all the exceptional content along the way. Can't wait to see the start of the house. 😊👍😍
Wow I really can't believe it's been two years it feels like just a few months ago that I started watching your channel.
Congrats on the progress - great content over the past 2 years and all of Stud Pack!!!! Do the solar markings on the stairway - fabulous idea.....Significant milestones. Keep up the OUTSTANDING content.
You guys are awesome. Jordan is soooo lucky for Dad!
Brilliant work, the main house is gonna be even more epic!
Paul, you are so great narrating these videos!
Thanks!
I’m so happy for you guys. Jordan, amazing place. I can’t wait for the house build. Good luck!!
Bravo fellas. Simply Bravo. The Mustang at the end nice touch!
Congratulations on the Finishing of the Garage Apartment. Great hex lighting too. Cheers from Australia 🦘 🇦🇺
Well done, guys! Looking forward to the main house build!
This was great -- I cried tears of joy -- y'all did it! Can't wait for the house build
I know it's been a long time, but I can't believe it's already finished! Seems like Mud Pack was just yesterday!
What an awesome series! The algorithm recommended one of your foundation videos to me over a year and a half ago and I've watched every video since.
amazing work for 3 people to build something so awesome
Super happy for you guys! It looks awesome and I love the attention to all the details.
This is my favorite channel on TH-cam right now. Keep up the great work guys looking forward to the house build.
Wow, thanks!
Well done!
Love those lights, looks so cool in the garage.
Man so awesome seeing this place move in ready. You guys killed it!
