They have qualified for the top level of the sport of fishing. It's a business, in business you have partnerships, money sponsors and at times you bet on yourself to get the equipment necessary to compete at the top level. There are boat requirements on the Elite Series.
Umm. Ok so next year. Try to pick the day one leader of every tournament and let me know how many u get right. Maybe BASS will hire u! That would be cool. Also a couple of guys they picked are in a tight ROY or AOY race. They weren’t necessarily trying to pick the day one leaders with those choices
