- Second section of my Castlevania list is here featuring songs from #50 to #26.
This is a list of my favorite Castlevania songs. Why top 75? At first I thought of doing just a top 10 but there were way too many songs that I wanted to include. Soon it was already a top 50 list. Eventually it got from 60 to 70 and finally to 75 songs. This could have easily been a top 100 but I wanted to draw a line somewhere earlier since it had already been quite a big work. I listened through over 1100 songs (that included game over and stage clear jingles plus tons of vampire killer and bloody tears arrangements/remixes so the real number of considerable songs is not that big). After first listening round I cut the number of songs down to about 230 from which I then chose my ultimate favorites after couple more listens. I didn't choose hastily, the order of the songs was formed over months of listening.
So I decided to split this one into 3 videos since it's really long list. I'll let every song loop about once (30 seconds or 3 minutes long song, no matter) and that's one reason why this became so long. Overall lenght is probably going to be around 1h40min-1h50min. Castlevania series has without a doubt some of the best videogame music ever so I hope you have time to watch the whole thing.
Remember, the order of songs is completely based on personal opinion. If your favorite is somewhere in lower positions it doesn't mean that I don't like it. I even had to leave some really good songs out of top 75. I decided to always use the original version of the song. Also no songs that have been originally from other game like Go! Getsu Fuhma, Ryu Kokki or In Search Of The Secret Spell (this one would've been actually pretty high if it wasn't originally from other game).
The pictures were put together using GIMP. I got better using it over time so some of the first images are simpler and probably more boring than the later ones. Here's a list of sites where I got almost all of the pictures used in video:

I'm really surprised that people have hardly been complaining about that at all. Explanation for each choice is essentially the same: it's a personal list.

I really love Castlevania music. However, the lately metal approach is getting a bit dull... I like its more dark and orchestral atmosphere. I think that's why I fell in love with Lords of Shadow immediately -the soundtrack, at least. Oscar Araujo did something amazing to revitalize the series

Pachislot Akumajo Dracula 3 (which wasn't released yet when this list was made) also has awesome theme with same style as #39. It's called "de-a lungul vietii" I think. You should give that one a listen also.

Yeah Crucifix held close made the song even better, I agree. Big appreciation to the original from me though.

No those songs are some of the most overrated along with Bloody Tears. Those songs are top 100’s

In all of the live performances of Castlevania music there never has been one for #26.
There HAS to be be eventually.
I guess you are talking about SotN? But in Portrait of Ruin you can play as Richter & Maria duo once the game is beaten.
Idk about on the sega system but on the ps1/xbox arcade version after you beat the game if you make your save file named richter you play as richter. no maria unless you have the sega version though.

i like how you get scary themes as first songs on castlevania NES , then you get Heart of Fire as last song which is so fitting because its fucking Simon Belmont you are playing as

Kind of odd that you picked the Castlevania Chronicles songs, since that game is a remake/port of the X68000 Castlevania game.
Come on dude, there's approx. 500 different compositions from the series that could be here. I listened through over 1000 songs before forming this list.

And this is Pachislot Akumajo Dracula. The First one. These games are Japan-exclusive. Don't know too much what they are like myself. They are some kind of slot machine games with storyline.
After completing the game you can choose to play as Richter and Maria, right? I don't know the button combination to do that though... But I think it can be done.
Ah well, those are all very nostalgic pieces. It was really hard to make up the order for songs, I thought while making this that I could put the songs from #60 to #10 in any order and it would be just fine. The gaps were minimal throughout the list anyway, you know.
Happy to see love shown to the Curse of Darkness soundtrack, Not a great game but sound track is fantastic.

#28 was also in Portrait of Ruin.
