Battle of the Holy is SUCH a masterpiece that pretty much nobody's ever heard of. I am SO SO glad that it made it up to Top 3. Also, not surprised that this video is filled with SotN pieces! That game and its OST is one the best ever made!! Amazing top 100, bro!
Great list, the Castlevania franchise has such incredible music that you could literally make a top 100 list and not a single track in the bunch will be a stinker.
@Lpoeser I actually knew immediately when I started making this list which song would be #1. While I already would change some picks, that one is quite easily my favorite. About DoS, I think I wouldn't change the number of music from the game but instead I'd substitute Scarlet... for Into the Dark Night and drop two highest picks a little and raise Pinnacle some positions... Oh well, what's done is done. I could've picked 10+ songs from both SotN and CoD but wanted some variety.
This must have been a tough list. So many great tracks to choose from. One of my friends on the other side of the country is playing thru SOTN for the first time, the lucky bastard. I told him I'd play thru it again too (for the 15th time). So amazing. Thank you for this.

This, from start to finish is THE List! I have listened through the entirety (75) several times, and I am sure to listen several more. I have told every Castlevania junkie I know about this. :)
Tragic Prince at the top, good choice. My favorite is probably either Heart of Fire from Aria of Sorrow or Jaws of a Scorched Earth from Order of Ecclessia
I thought Bloody Tears and The town music was awesome. I think Simon's Quest had potential to be great. It had the right idea, just executed incorrectly. But maybe that is due to the time frame and technological limitations during that time. It was the first MetroidVania game, but it was running on the NES still. Maybe if they remake the game for PS4 with better graphics and detailed storyline and better bosses and all that, that would be awesome. But it is also the first Castlevania where you actually get to travel all around the place and not just Wallachia i think. You go to other towns and all that.

I also really liked Top Floor and even Chaotic Realm. Unpopular opinion I know. Dawn had a good soundtrack, but I thought Aria's was superior, mostly. Scarlet Battle Soul is still dope though. Also enjoyed many of the remixes from Circle of the Moon. Best Vampire Killer/Observation Tower, and Rotating Room/Underground Warehouse + Aquarius/Underground Gallery.

In OoE soundtrack there is a version with different instruments and also the intro version of the song. In this list we have the "normal" version. But 3 versions of the same song in the soundtrack, yeah.

i think sinking old sanctuary(bloodlines), inner quarters(aria of sorrow) and within these Castle walls(castlevania ii) should be in this list, also believe that mortvia aqueduct and wood carving should be in top 25 under, for the rest is a very good list, but my number one is between iron blue intention and wicked child

The fact that you put New Messiah in the Top 5 immediately makes this a valid list. It's probably my personal #1 but all the music in Belmont's Revenge is outrageously underrated for being from the game boy circa 1991.

Without those two titles SotN I fear wouldn't exist. Thanks. Abyss Stairway is actually arrangement of "Sinking Old Sanctuary" first heard in Castlevania Bloodlines so it couldn't be here. Sinking Old Sanctuary was of course one of the songs that were really difficult to be left out of this list but there are too many good songs, sacrifices had to be done.
castlevania for the most part has some of the best art i've ever seen in a game, just look at Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow! i really hope they go back to that for future games
