- Here I borrow my first set of handcuffs. I explore the names of each part, give pictorial representations of the internals and their workings. The purpose of the double lock, and it's interaction with the Pawl is discussed. I also explore three techniques that can be used to open the handcuffs without using the key (pick the lock open).

Great video. Love the blue peter demonstration on the internals .
I have always refered to the single strand as the bow.
Great set of cuffs for learning the mechanism 👍 Those cuffs have another attack angle as they have no keypost. You can dive in the tiny hole at the rear and unlock them (DL&SL)
Great show on the side shim. Not many modern cuffs have that exploit these days.
Stay safe and have a great week buddy 👍😀
One thing to watch out for is the keypost on normal brand cuffs. You will have to change your attack vectors slightly.
Thank you for your comments. Yep no expense spent on the high grade CGI graphics! 😂 While I still have these cuffs I will try the tiny hole attack, thanks for that.
@CoxysPicks, I just tried that tiny hole attack, seems easier than going in through the key hole, much appreciated. Thank you for watching my tiny channel.
More than welcome buddy 👍 Just remember keypost model cuffs don't have that hole 😎🤘
Excellent tutorial on handcuffs. Entertaining to watch all the way through. Love the paper cut outs, what a great way to demo the inside mechanism.
Roy, thank you for your continue support. I always say that pictures (or paper cutouts) paint a thousand words.
I was messing around with my cousins handcuffs he picked up at a garage sale. After I locked myself on one side I said where is the key. He goes 😮. This just got me out of it. Thanks man
That bought a smile to my face, thank you. I’m pleased I was able to help and save you from any further embarrassment. Thanks for commenting.
Awesome detail.
I’m pleased that you liked the video. Thank you for watching and your comment.
Well done and very clear for people new to handcuff mechanisms👍
Thank you very much, that’s exactly what I was hoping to achieve.
Awesome instructional video. Thankyou. With you and CoxysPicks i'll be anm escape artist in no time! :D
I'm glad you like the video, it was definitely aimed at the handcuff beginner, much like myself. CoxysPicks is far more an advanced picker than myself and a nice chap as well. Many thanks for watching and commenting.
Awesome! Very well done. Thank you. Now I know how it’s done.
I'm pleased that you found the video interesting and that you gained something from watching it. Thank you for you kind comments.
That was a great tutorial. Really well done
Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

thank you sir
Your welcome, thank you for watching and commenting.
I've been wanting to buy a set of cuffs to practice on. Thanks for the instructions!
Your more than welcome, hope you have fun practising. Try getting a set of cuffs with chain between them, probably easier to start off with. Many thanks for the comment.
Nice tutorial. I liked the paper props👍.
Great video. Informative👍.
Warning, handcuffs may get addictive......
Thank you very much for taking a look at my small channel. Since your main interest is in handcuffs, your comments are gratefully appreciated.
@@sotonlock7894 its good to see others taking an intrest.
Its good fun learning to escape them. If you start learning to escape, bare in mind hinged cuffs are tough👍
I did gather that hinged cuffs would be difficult to escape from, that’s why none of the methods talked about in my video show me wearing them. I might be able to get my hands on a set of chain cuffs, if I do, I’ll certainly give it a try.
Fantastic vid and an awesome explanation. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
@Gazz R, I’m glad you liked it, thanks for the kind words.
