You're doing great work Tim and looking forward to more of your projects. Interviewing legendary people and this book. A lot of wonderful stories all these people shares with us. It's a great service and so appreciated. On another idea I would love to see an in- depth interview with Gordon Van Der Spuy about his philosophy and on his approach about designing and tying bugs. The Feather Mechanic which is wonderful example not just another book that illustrates textbook instructions that we see in most fly tying books. And you're the person who can do that. I'll be checking out your book at my local store so thanks and I wish you much success with your book.
Have been off work for 4 months recovering from an injury, its been difficult stuck in the house and my local river is a stones throw away and cant go fishing. Fly tying has helped me pass the time, looking forward to reading your new book. I love picking names for my patterns, they are now selling and covering my material costs, its a great hobby, my top 5 nymphs are deadly 😉😉😉 good luck with your book Tim, ive asked Santa for it.
I pray your recovery is headed in a positive direction, Kevin, and glad to know that you're making the most of it with fly tying! Let's keep our fingers crossed that Santa comes through. Tim
Great question! I typically use the 60-degree hooks for my nymph patterns in rivers. The 90-degree tend to be more useful in stillwater situations. This is based on my experiences, and I'll have to check for additional applications. Thanks!
@@richardzacamy4605 I am about a year in myself. I got into fly fishing all together through project healing waters fly fishing if you wanna look that up, most chapters have fly tying regularly.
