- Taken from an old VHS, I would always recommend watching these on a computer and not a big screen TV.
This was the first and only mixed doubles World Championship event played in Hamburg, Germany. A couple of frames are edited out and it also has adverts in between frames. The event returned 31 years later in 2022 when Neil Robertson and Mink Dutcharut won it.

I really enjoyed seeing Allison Fisher play, she went on to play pool in the States, if my memory serves me right. I always watched Davis play with Tony Meo in other doubles tournaments, they were the most successful pairing, as I remember.
What an amazing game, played by such amazing ambassadors.

The current mixed doubles shown on ITV4 was played in an atmosphere similar to a graveyard and the quality wasn't better than this.

Indeed, it was the reason I put it up. Not sure to be honest that the standard of womens snooker has improved since then. Alison Fisher was decent but Stacy Hillyard was very poor in this match.

I know of a few collectors and none of them have that match. Even people that have footage they don't want uploaded to youtube don't have it, so unless someone somewhere has it on and old VHS stuck in the attic, it's very unlikely that this match will appear.

Allison still made more centuries on tv than most of the women playing now

@@MikeBarratt-lk3gt Fisher was miles ahead of other women back then, the women's game hasn't really improved bar maybe Mink she's good. Alison would do just fine, she got some very good results and made a century on TV, what other woman has done that?

Reanne Evans just lost 10-0 to some nobody so yeah Alison would do well.
Who's Hillyard? Not surprising that she did not compete at the highest level.
I looked her up, think she was around a few years and became a police officer.
