I have a galaxy s7 edge and my PiP was enabled but one day each time I tapped on the window it wouldn't respond so I went to disable it and enable it but now I can't enable it

Exactly, as far as Im concerned, this feature is available on S8+ upon release. Now, after a certain app update, it's gone. That's plain BS.

Download a VPN,,, set the location to United states and you're all set. That is the work around the I'm using while I'm in Saudi Arabia.

@@hichamelouali for some strange reason, pnp is disabled on phones in certain global regions. That's why a VPN set to United states is the remedy

I think, and this is just an assumption, but I think PiP won't work on copywrite content.

Junk. Doesn't work on mine. Mine is fully updated but this video is useless for my phone. Which is the same hardware and software specified.

Something you missed, if someone has the 'PinP' opt but it stops working and you are not able to toggle the 'PinP' on in the TH-cam setting area that you showed Then go to the ap settings on ur phone locate "special access" (either at the bottom of screen or top right corner drop down menu) click on 'PinP' and confirm all of the aps listed as having the opt. are "Allowed" to perform it. If one isnt simply toggle the switch for that ap and you should be in business!
i know you cant fit everything into these videos but this is pretty relevant, mayb you could update the video and add it in. it would be helpful to alot of people

I have PinP enabled but it stopped working after TH-cam's newest update that updated to version 17.11.34, now I can't use PinP and I can't get rid of the update. Got any pointers to fix the problem?

Thank you, now I know why it was working sometimes (when it's not music) and not other times. I thought it was me doing something wrong, it was driving me crazy. I'm not to happy I can't listen to music and do other stuff though, kinda sucks.

awhile ago PIP work in my device even tho im outside of US then i tried it again, it doesn't work
This is crazy because I've used PIP for music videos before multiple times and has ALWAYS worked until recently it suddenly wont work with music videos anymore.

I just bought a Galaxy j7 star my picture&picture for TH-cam is working but when in small screen I don't have the option to( skip,exit,big screen button) is it the updates or my phone??? It was working not no more.
Very late, but there is a free work around for music videos that works for my Note 9 (and I presume works for other Android devices). First, hit the 3 vertical line button to bring up the different tile selections. Then on the YT tile, push and hold the YT icon, which will bring up different options. Select "open in pop-up view." This will bring a larger PiP. You can adjust the PiP tile to make it fairly small, and move the tile around to the corner of the screen to do other things while listening to music videos.

Update: It's because the video is music, so it doesn't work. Some music videos work though.

When I'm playing certain games (it happens most often in roblox) it disables picture in picture for a short period of time, it works for a while, and then it just disables it, when I look in the settings it's on, but it still doesn't work, and I have to wait a while until it works again
As for YT Vanced , it's like TubeMate app , the one that allows You to grab videos and audios from audio and video websites / platforms. The reason why they're not on Play Store - well , it's not hard to guess. ;)

A few weeks ago i accidentally got youtube to PiP (didnt know i could)... and have never been able to do it since. The tips in this vid just minimize everything and no pip video shows up

Is there a way to increase the size of the PIP? I know when u tap it increases in size but only temporarily. I got it to go big permanently once but honestly have no idea how I did it (maybe it was a glitch?)
Double tap and it will stay big
Or drag the corner and it can get big and small

The problem I have with pip is it randomly just stops working. If I flip the screen it normal but I'm unable to move it, pause or unpause the video, even the tiny notification that says it's active won't appear. And if I I tap on the TH-cam app to restore things everything just appears on the tiny screen. And the worst part is that sometimes it'll just grow bigger until it blocks your inter screen and you'll be unable to fix it via holding on the TH-cam app and tapping either search or subscription. Then the only way to get rid of it would be to power your phone off and power it back on again because simply turing your phone off then on won't help.
If this has happened to anyone else, please let me know so I know that I'm not crazy or my phone is broken in some way shape or form.

Why did my pip stop working on my note 9?
Because now you have to pay to have that setting(TH-cam), you can still do it in a pop-up view.

I had the same question because it would work sometimes and not others, I wasn't sure how to make it work 100%. I learned from the video that it's because they were music content videos. I just tried it on other ones like vlogs, etc and it works.

sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, not just on "other" videos but even on music videos as well. I have been able to get it to work, then tried again on the same song...im not premium member and I am in the united states....this is beyond frustrating...I shouldn't have to download another separate app and share the song to it to listen in the background
In my case, it didn't show my TH-cam is the newest version. Or it in latest Android 10. My device still on 8.1 ver.

I just switched to an iPhone XR from the Pixel 2 and had no idea that PiP was exclusive to android phones. I thought it was just something you get with TH-cam premium!! Is there any way of getting it on iPhone now or no dice?
My pip was working until day before yesterday but now i its not working anymore i live in italy but still it was working i have tried everything turn on nd off that option but still not working.
Does anyone how how to resize window and then make it static. When I tap on it and thr play and pause options show up, it resizes back to its smaller size. If I have it in landscape mode, I have more real estate to allow larger window for a bigger picture.

Mine worked some times then would stop. I think I found out how to fix it, it feels like only some places like the USA can have this feature. I'm in the uk but as soon as I used a vpn the picture in picture started working again 👍
Follow-up question: I have picture-in-picture enabled, but when I try to do the Samsung Notes trick with the Pen, the actual TH-cam video gets hidden by the Samsung Notes (but the video is still playing BEHIND the notes).
If I go to home screen first with the video playing, then I can do the double tap from the home screen and then the video is on TOP of the Samsung Notes. Why is this the case?

How did you customize the bottom of the phone? I can see the forward and the power off option

well all samsung flagship users around the globe can use pip feature with pop-up view mode. you can even play music video in pop-up view.

Ok I figured it out. Long clicked on the app on settings came up and I had to enable it there and then come back on to TH-cam and enable it again

Pip mode stops working when my screen settings are set to 3088x1440 but when i switch back to 1080 the video will play in pip. What gives?
Can anyone help me with an issue? When I hit the home button, the PIP appears at the bottom-right corner, as normal, but if I move it to a more comfortable position on my home-screen, it disappears as if I'd dragged it to the "remove" button. The audio continues, but the video is off-screen. Any ideas?? Thanks! (All my "permissions" in settings are set to allow PIP)
I have android 9, live in the US AND am a premium member. I shut if off to listen to a podcast while playing a game so it didn't interfere. Now the pip tab in youtube setting is greyed out and I cant turn it back on.

Man that's weird literally bout what a month or 2 ago I accidentally got the pip to work and I'm in Canada then it stopped working I've been noticing that randomly it works then randomly it stops then sometimes it works for 1 day
That option is not available in any of my TH-cam apps on my Samsung devices. PIP is already enabled in the phone settings.
It does not work on all videos ... Watching this video it is working but if i switch to different videos and it does work for some music videos
You can use be in fullscreen mode on TH-cam in Chrome using desktop mode and it will not require anything than android 8 device or up and to have chrome updated.
