Raag Maru Bihag Mishran on Sitar | Charanjeet Singh Chanderpal (Sangeet Acharya)

Charanjeet Singh Chanderpal plays Raag Maru Bihag or Behag on Sitar in his own style. Since it's a slight variation from the normal Maru Bihag or Behag, the Raag Played herein by Chanderpal is named as Raag Maru Behag Mishran. However, the discussion herein below would show that Raag Maru Behag or Bihag is itself not a pure Raag and has evolved from the original Raag - Raag Bihag or Behag.
Raga Maru Bihag or Maru Behag, is itself a mix raga in the Hindustani Classical Music, but has acquired the features of a distinct Raga. It has evolved from Raga Bihag. It uses Teevra Madhyam M (half note more than Pure Madhyam). The usage of Shuddha Ma is rare, completely depends on the creativity of the artist.
A variant of Raag Bihag or Behag can be seen in Sree Guru Granth Sahib jee at various pages/angs. It thereby forms part of Gurmat Sangeet also.
Thanks to training of Pt Preetam Banerjee my sitar teacher which has helped me immensely and Prof Debjani Chatterjee, who taught me the vocals, which I, myself, related and transformed it into Sitar Playing.

Hence I have added the words Mishran... Which means a deviation or a mix
