I just looked up the clock design, wondering if that was a reference to older clocks that might've tied into the antique store somehow, and Her's reasoning for the "13" Roman numeral (and for skipping the 9th hour too) is.... "It was just for fun. We play with cover art and make it artistically beautiful and intriguing, and there is no real reasoning behind the 13th number. It's only mysterious. 🙂" 😂😂
im a year late bc I just found your channel and am binge watching (loving your videos btw), but i think they might have had lauren's name as "corey" because Giles Corey was one of the people put to death in the real witch trials. he's also a character in The Crucible, the man who gets pressed with stones. my guess is that they wanted to pay homage or possibly hint at a distant relation, but changed it maybe b/c there was a previous character with that name like you said!
Ahhh! I love your outfit/background! This was such a fun idea for a video. I love that Millie Strathorn kinda has a backstory. Another thing that I love that Her Interactive did in the past, (not sure if they're still doing it for future games) is when they'd have a contest and put winners pictures into the games. They would be on message boards, desks, posters. That was a lot of fun. OOh! I also love the movie posters in Final Scene. It's fun trying to guess what kind of movie each poster would be.
Personally I wasn't super into the story, puzzles, or characters BUT what's so great about the Nancy Drew games is that they're all so different and have something for everyone, no matter what you enjoy! It's not one of my personal favourites but that doesn't mean it's bad!
The setting is nice, but the way the story is structured is somewhat repetitive (reminiscent of Trail of The Twister, a game I actually enjoy but understand the hate for), all of the characters are quite awkward and elusive, which would have been fine if they were such in different ways, but instead they just all feel very similar to each other. This is just very poor writing. Doesn't help the ending is very ambiguous, which wouldn't have been an issue if the character work was good and the story paced and structured in a way that would make the ending fitting, but as it is, it's just ends up being unsatisfying in every regard. Puzzles are decent tho.

My favorite returning voice actor is Charlie from game #3, who later voices Ned in all games.
Re the one about the phone numbers, in at least one of the games the last four phone numbers for the Hardy boys spell out "HUNK"

Why does everyone hate the Shattered Medallion? It’s one of my favorites!
