When I was really little my older sisters would play Nancy drew and I would pull up Blackmoor manor on my own just to go get eaten by the plant for fun
Wait the bridge one from Old Clock is cute!! I recently reread the book, and I was wondering why they’d leave such an iconic scene out of the game! A 5 year old brutally falls to her death on like page 4 after getting obliterated by a van and survives because she’s a plot device and it’s a kids book so she Danny Phantom’s the van and angelically floats to the rocks below for Nancy to conveniently save for the whole book to happen! I guess I’ve just never seen anyone miss the paper before!
My favourites are the bike riding without a helmet because that was my childhood and the ghost murders from ghost of Thornton hall because that made me and my friend jump when we were younger. And yes, I do also always get so many demerits to get nancy expelled from Waverley Academy because that's my idea of fun.
it is alarmingly hard for Nancy to die in creature of kapu cave which always frustrated me because it's one of the most dangerous places she goes? but NO JUMPING IN LAVA OKAYYY FINEEE
I played castle Malloy before Phantom, so my first experience w good news/bad news was that game. I still absolutely adore the one you get when you drown in the bog, where the good news is you fell in to about knee height! The bad news? You fell in head first. Idk why, but that one always makes me cackle. I will usually try to die on purpose just to get that one.

Great video! I'd say the carnivorous plant sucking you up is definitely up there for me, but the one that sticks out most is from Stay Tuned from Danger where you are strangled by the villain. It's so weirdly intimate and kind of haunting for the same reason. Maybe because the game is so good at putting you in Nancy's shoes.
Yes, that one is so memorable! The first two games definitely have a darker tone than some of the later ones which makes them feel very unique. Thanks for watching! 😁
I’ve gotten the most second chances out of any playthrough with DDI. Forgetting a helmet while biking, forgetting a life vest when kayaking, kayaking too far, and slipping on rocks! I even got the reward at the end for it. 😂
This was super fun! I haven’t played many Nancy Drew games, just because I’m bad at most of the puzzles. So, I haven’t triggered many second chances. I will say, to me at least, getting caught by Alexei in Alibi in Ashes is the one exception among the boring getting caught second chances. IDK it’s kinda fun to set him off because his reaction is just so over the top! 😂
😩👌This was such a good idea for a video. I don't think anything beats the randomness and the absurdity of seeing Nancy's legs flailing in the air as she gets eaten by a giant carnivorous plant that just happens to be hanging around. 🤣

the "flooding the water tunnel" second chance is actually from Ghost Dogs! guess it's just that forgettable... i belive in Blackmoor opening the well before you fill it lets you find a really obscure clue. if i had to pick, the cage trap at the end of the game is probably my least favorite, since it's just another "move Nancy away from the danger above her" SC.
No explosions in the Final Scene?! What about The Final Scene of that game! You literally get your face rocked in by a Wrecking ball if you don't turn on the marquee!
