HI .. does anyone know who composed the music for the Anglia flag idents? And, were there only 3 variants ever made? Would love to track down the masters of the music, and get the copyright details etc.
ITV: Legend of Zelda edition. Seriously one of the very best idents ever to grace british TV. Though I do have to say that I think the Anglian Knight idents (the colour ones at least) were amongst the absolute worst!
@etruongs7 it's not that interesting a story to be honest lol. As far as I'm aware Anglias boss saw the knight statue in a charity shop, bought it and got the probs department to add a flag saying "Anglia" on it.
I actually saw the Anglia Knight torphy at the Museum in Norwich in September 2019, It was on loan from ITV Anglia House and it sat in reception in a glass box. It usually sits in reception at Anglia House in Norwich. The full story behind this torphy, The Anglia knight is a sterling silver trophy that was originally commissioned by William III of the Netherlands in 1850 for the Falcon Club, a society that met once per year to compete in horse races, falconry and other sports. The trophy weighs over 700 troy ounces (22 kg, 48 lbs) and is modelled on the statue of Richard I outside the Palace of Westminster, but was intended to represent the Black Prince en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglia_knight
@@scottpeacock5492 I believe the statue was won by an Englishman and brought home where by 1959 it ended up in Asprey's the London jewellers, where it was spotted by Anglia's chairman who got Asprey's to add a pennon bearing the company's name to the lance.
@@omegaman6494 Yes that what i heard too, though it not the same colour as you see on screen, The Anglia Knight was in a glass box sort yelloeew colour,
Right above the flag is where the lef eye is andd the right is hidden to thr top right in darkness, and below is the nose/mouth at east that's what I used to believe!
Why is the music so gorgeous😂 sounds like im starting a new chapter in my life

I prefer the Anglia Knight - it sticks in your mind and makes you feel proud somehow
Random fact - Anglia is England in Polish.

Now that I think of it, I think this music is a severe remix of the original music.
After 1969 Anglia tv had this amazing classic Ident
it was on 1988
@@yorkshireball_animations Yes a whole 19 years
@@jbtv7955 the anglia knight was used from 1969-1988, the flag was used from 1988-1999
@@yorkshireball_animations Yes then ITV Hearts idents came after I think
@@jbtv7955 yes, then anglia was under granada plc until it turned into itv anglia
If the frontcaps weren't scrapped in 1988 then this ident would have been seen before Lucky Ladders & Tales Of The Unexpected.
Was used as an endcap, briefly.
FOR YEARS! I believed this was a mans face in the back ground, one eye to the left, one to the right, really scared me as a kid!
Nice
Ident created by Lambie-Nairn.

I think there is some sort of production music that is based around the tune that plays throughout most of this video. What is the name of the tune?
now I see it's just randomness.....I think....
name: triforce in the logo
scare factor: low
