I am a 57yr old mom (strange but true) of a 10th grader and I was thrown into home schooling this year. @@rias554 okay well yeah you can learn this in a 10th grade class, but you probably go through the content way slower than what happens in college. for example you might do only ionic and covalent bonding for like 1 or 2 days but in a college class we go through a whole chapter in 1 day . for example , Chapter 25 (BONDING RELATIONSHIPS): Ionic vs. covalent bonding Lattice enthalpy Bond length Electronegativity Polar covalent bonds Ionic character of bonds All of these topics are done in 1 day

I have learned absolutely nothing in the last three years of highschool, but science and math have always fascinated me. Thanks for making these videos so that I can pursue it outside of a school setting
I'm sure you've moved on from high school now.. but I wanted to come in here and say that math also fascinates me. My teachers somewhat failed to make it interesting and so I've always had the mentality that its "just not for me" or "im not good at it".. but it's so eye opening to see how much I enjoy math and science when I'm actually taught well and understand it.
this is my alternative in learning right now. because of the pandemic, we used modular classes, basically self study with no discussion. today is my 1st day of class, all we did the whole day is scrambling around the net to look for answers and pass it barely in time. after class, i studied right away just to understand the activities and quizzes i took today. it sucks and i want to drop out right away. #AcademicFreezeNow
Dude are we in the same school? I've been stuck in modular learning as well and the professor doesn't even give us feedback. The class average for our big test last week was 62% (I got 76%) good luck with your class!
i can relate to this comment, im in ninth grade and our topic rn is Chemistry and its killing me, i have no one to discuss the topic which is hella hard. TH-cam is like my teacher during this pandemic because we have modules instead of having virtual meetings/discussions. Goodluck to us!
@@sethgabrielle5505 Goodness, I remember being in your age. These times are hard and you have already overcame a lot. Trust that your strength is being developed to be sustained for later.
I relate to this so much. I have online learning. Yet our professor only does consultations, he answers our questions about the modules he posts. He doesn't have lessons that teaches us part by part what's in the module. It's basicay self study. But it's a struggle for me, since I have so many other subjects and I sometimes don't have enough time to go through the modules. And if I do, I usually get stuck at one part of the module and I wouldn't know what to do, so I'll wait for the next consultation and ask about it. Then after that I resume with the module, then get stuck again but by that time the consultation is already over for that module so I can't ask anymore. So I get stuck in a loop. I don't know if you get it but basically, it sucks. And videos like these are my saving grace.
