    Very nicely done. The benefit of live narration is that we can see the actual thought process and any errors that may creep in. As you noted, post editing can easily forget small points. In my case, I've been using tinkercad for just over a year, so appreciated that you did not focus on keys or buttons but just explained the steps. Specifically, you just aligned objects without slogging through the "push this icon, then select centers, etc." Made this easy for me to follow.

    The way you do this actually makes sense to me and I can follow along. I've fought with autism and Asperger's all my life and it makes learning things like this difficult. I tend to learn by "I want to make this so show me how to do it" instead of "This is what this does". I've been muscling through freecad and while it does what I need I find the logic to be VERY painful to get through at times so I keep trying tinkercad. Sadly, the way most seem to show it just isn't meaningful for me. You're videos however are a different story. Subscribed!!!

      @@Avel Not at all. Thank YOU in fact. I managed to knock out a part in about 6 minutes that fit right the first time. I've been trying to get it to work in freecad for a while and must have 3 or so hours into it and I just couldn't get it the way I wanted it without making too many compromises. And all because you spoke my language. 😁

    You can move camera left, right, up, down and diagonal if you hold the wheel down and move the mouse, no need to use the shift key.

    Overall a good video, but for a beginner tutorial it would help to explain how to do each of the various steps. For example, you mention grouping the two objects and aligning them to the center., but don't show how to do the center alignment. I consider this video a good example of how to create an object rather than a beginner tutorial. I suggest removing the music track as it's distracting, and a hinderance when trying to follow along.
    After viewing the video I realize I need to start at the zero point in learning Tinkercad, and once that is done I'll come back and view the video again.
    Thanks for creating your videos!

    • @Avel
      @Avel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate the constructive criticism! I did show how to align to center when I clicked on the center dot after clicking the alignment tool, but I could've been vocally specific about what I was doing. I've never been much of a teacher, per se, more of the "show you how to do it" type. haha
      Although, I have made another video that addresses this and other things a little more clearly with some tips and tricks: th-cam.com/video/aB06DaYnuhU/w-d-xo.html

      @@Avel I watched your tips and tricks video and it was a GREAT help! I have also started working through the Tinkercad training, and that should be a prerequisite for everyone. Looking forward to seeing your other videos.
      Thanks for the reply and help!

      I agree... it would've been more helpful if you stated exactly how to align/center 2 objects. All in all though, great video.
