- Come with me to Salem, Massachusetts for fall dark academia vibes and also some pirate silliness 💕 I got to spend a few days with friends dressing up and wandering around Salem and it was so much fun! We explored a lot of little shops and went to the beach to dress up as pirates. We went around mid-September so it wasn't too busy yet for the spooky season, but we still got to see some of the shops set up their halloween displays! It was all very cute. Thanks to Kiki for organizing the trip!

This was so great Minji!!! Thank you for taking us with you. I've always wanted to go to Salem, but now that I'm older and unable to walk much, I don't think it will ever happen. Dark academia has always been my aesthetic, so seeing you all walking around in the rain makes me smile. The houses there are so beautiful. And Mint made me happy cry when they were helping the bee onto a leaf. 💚🐝💚🐝💚🐝💚 Your videos make me smile. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Things to remember when you visit Salem as a tourist:
-People live here. Not everyone is out for a leisurely stroll and taking in the sights. Some of us are coming or going from work and/or just living out everyday lives.
- The houses you walk by, even the historical ones, are people homes, not museums. Please stay out of our yards and off of our property.
- There are trash barrels, at least a couple to every block. Please put your trash there and not on the ground.
- The historical burial grounds are not props. Those are actual cemeteries with people buried there, please have some respect.
- Please respect our community and ALL the people in it.
- Please watch your children. This is a city not a giant playground. Lady was letting her children play in the street while she took pics of Street art. A busy street. In the not so great part of Salem.
-Enjoy your time here just don’t be annoying and disrespectful.
Pretty sure this is common sense and these people also help the local shops by buying items and for example the Harry Potter themed place they stayed.
@@WTHHYBLTITSOAK do you live here? You’d think it’s common sense, which makes it all the more frustrating when some tourist treat it like a giant amusement park. Not once did I say the ppl who posted this video did any of these things, I assumed ppl who may visit Salem may watch this video so I made a little psa.
I live a few towns away and can genuinely say Salem is one of my fav places! What a lovely kooky spot. I'd literally wilt if I ever moved away from the north shore. So glad you got to experience it!!

This was such a fun view of New England and Salem from someone who doesn't live there! I grew up in New England so I think it all starts to seem very normal and regular when you've been there so long. But I loved seeing you love it so much! Thanks for the wonderful vid!

I was in Salem last weekend, so it's nice revisiting it with this video. My partner was overwhelmed with the October crowds (which I agree were daunting), but at least most of the people around were respectful and nice. Just there for the Halloweeny fun times.
