Happy New Year, everybody! As with the previous episode of Thrawn, this issue was long enough that we had to split it into two separate parts. But don't worry, you won't need to wait long; Thrawn #2, Part 2 will be releasing tomorrow morning at the same time, 10:30 central time. I hope you enjoy the amazing work that our actors put into these videos!
Good voice over work. When voices are distinctive enough, it helps to identify characters. I prefer a black background to white, easier on the eyes. The story itself is engaging. We already know that Thrawn is three moves ahead. That’s why he’s appealing. You can’t make these videos fast enough.
again, high quality voice acting, and simple animation makes it a better experience than the actual comic, its like watching a non-stop video game cinematic
I like it that most of the junior officers sound young. They WOULD be kids that grew up during the Clone Wars and hastily trained to phase out the aging clones.

To the Thrawn actor, very good job. The voice is perfect. I do have a question though, is the way ensign is pronounced as en-sign supposed to show Thrawns difficulty in pronouncing words?
DTylerFultzVA not so! In the clone wars, the Zygerrian Queen (a race of cat/wolf like slavers) has a unique pronunciation of Jedi. Spoken as: J’Dai. This stood out to me, as no one or no culture had a different intonation until then.
@jasonq7504 @DTylerFultzVA Greetings from the present. I'd like to speak to both of you at once, for efficiency. Reading things exactly as how they are pronounced, when learning Galactic Basic, is....exactly how I imagine the way this story is showing me an angle of it. This especially comes out with the "Leftenant", which to my memory, Thrawn has rarely ever had to address, a Lieutenant. How in the world could someone possibly read "Leftenant" from "Lietenant?" I see it the same way. It delves into your culture, your background, your individuality. In this manner, the cultural aspect that shows up with J'Dai, is also why I have written it as Jed'aii, Je'dii, Jedhai, and Jed'hi, Jedha'i. Depending on the culture's age, in Star Wars, the J'dai pronunciation, may indicate their culture was around before the modern "Jedi" order was created. All from just one subtle language difference. If you have known only one pronunciation for thousands of years, but someone sounds similar to it, it makes sense that one would not question that Jedi, and J'Dai are different entitites. .....I didn't expect to find a comment from the actual voice actor, let alone someone who was also able to perfectly encapsulate what I could not contain succinctly.
You got thrawnes voice pretty close to rebels, better than I've heard so far...but ugh all the audio comics make elis voice, ugh I dont care for it but them for this.
Voice acting is great and everything, but would prefer not to have the sliding transitions. Especially when I can't read what is being currently read. I like to read along as I listen, but I can't do that with any of this, extremely off putting. A fade would be much nicer. It's a shame, it kinda ruins the video for me, otherwise it would be perfect. Also would prefer the white background to not be pure white.

Thrawn is my favorite blue character in Star Wars ever!!!
His race is called the Chiss.
@@ladyren1575, far too generalizing, was I?
Cad Bane is good too
Dale Erdmann I respect that.
You don't like Alya Secura?

Jason Q You are imposter
Such great work! Thanks, *Star Wars Audio Comics!*
Can't wait till the next episode man I'm drooling over the possibilities of how thrawn is gonna kill the pirates, Thrawns Empire Starts here
I love when thrawn says “recommendations” he means “orders”

A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Great work as always guys and girls, thank you. This comic is like an abridged copy of the Thrawn book.
The Wild Wolf Gaming Timothy Zhan is a co-writer. That brings a feeling of legitimacy to the project.

Did you get the voice of thrawn from rebels? They sound eerily similar

Pretty good impersonation, right?
@@DTylerFultzVA that's you? Man that's impressive. You got the Thrawn smoothness down to a T
@@DTylerFultzVA, I think so.
@@DTylerFultzVA Love your voice as Thrawn! You definitely sound like Lars but also a little different. I like it!!

I'd like to say that, but it's admittedly because I've only ever read it.
Embarrassing, I know.

I would like to see Morgan Elsbeth and Moff Gideon in this Canon comics about Thrawn
you guys are sick
I like to watch these after I finished a few chapters on my book. The pictures give me a better idea of the environment

Not a fan of the cut-out moving panels
It's the time... it's too slow on some parts.
