Rusty made sure to prepare as many clones as he could when they were as young as possible so he wouldn't have to worry about making clones of clones.

Um, Actually, Zarathos isn't a demon according to the full lore and history. Zarathos is actually an Arch Angel that was beaten by a demon (in some, the Devil himself. In others, the Devil simply got ownership after) and is now used as a contract that can be tied to a human soul. This only becomes known much later, but is confirmed to have been the truth all along, with Zarathos' immense power being suppressed thanks to the contract, as well as preventing him from revealing all of this information to anyone, even his hosts
Um Actually, Zarathos in the comics IS a demon (a former rival of mephistos) and also NOT a spirit of vangeance, but he follows the same technical rules, although he was an angel in the movies BUT most of the other ghost riders are divine beings called Spirits of Vangeance (like the one possessing his brother Danny Ketch)

13:04 While it is correct to say that Flowey is Asriel, technically Flowey is not TRULY Asriel without a soul, in the sense that if Asriel's soul was removed he would not necessarily become Flowey. Asriel died on the golden flower bed that the flower that is Flowey was a part of, and his dust was scattered across them. Flowey was later injected with Determination as an experiment from Alphys (I'm pretty sure, it's been a while since I've read the text in True Lab) and gained life, taking on parts of Asriel.
Um actually, in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood they discover that human transmutation isn’t actually possible, since the things they “brought back” didn’t contain the soul of their loved ones. So it’s both the ultimate taboo and not technically possible according to the show.
Um actually, human transmutation per say is indeed possible, whether you transmute a already living human being (as Pride forced Mustang to do) or you provide a soul and both energy and material components enough to transmute a whole other living creature (humanish) as the boys did in the begging, you could even say that the homunculus (artificially created humans per definition) are results of successfully performed human transmutation. What is impossible is to bring back a passed away soul back to life. Also, [BIG SPOILER ALERT] the last transmutation performed by the FullMetal Alchemist is in fact a successful Human Transmutation.
Technically soul and body transmutation are possible if the subject is alive, Al's body and soul are removed and put back together. you just can't access the souls of the dead
Human transmutation (creating life or bringing it back) is not possible due to the equivalent exchange law. FMA is a very philosophical story, and it questions , among many thing, wheter life is more then the correct composition of chemicals. And the answer is no. Because a soul is something you can not make or form or exchange. It is priceless. During the transmutation of the brother's mother they experience a rebound by the reaction that desperatly tries to solve itself, forcing them past the gates of knowledge and exchanging parts of their body for knowledge. SPOILER ALLERT At the end, Ed manages to use the law of equivalent exchange to reverse to progress. Exchanging the knowledge he and his brother gained to get their bodies back. The opposite (and equal) of how they lost their bodies.
couple things wrong with the doctor horrible question. 1. the transmatter ray does take the gold but in the process gives doctor horrible a bag of worthless golden sludge. 2 while the death ray does malfunction, it does technically kill penny(doctor Horribles love interest) and blows up the hammers fist(causing him pain for the first time in his life)

@@tretretre1111 well yes, I do not dispute that. Elder Things and Great Old Ones are both explicitly from Lovecraft. It's just that they're different things in the mythos.
@@thewanderingmistnull2451 calling the outer gods god-like is tautalogical. They are straight up gods. The GOOs are godlike in that they are individuals of immense power that attract worship without necessarily being divine.
Um, Actually the series later establishes the violation of the law of conservation of mass as well: several characters use philosopher's stones (or false versions thereof) to produce mass from energy, as the stone is basically concentrated soul (which is established by Ed's monologue about the recipe of a human to not be a physical matter-based component of a human). Therefore the massless souls are being converted into mass by the alchemical transmutation. The most obvious use of this is when various homunculi use alchemy to regenerate wounds, even replacing whole limbs without any source matter.
Um actually the great old ones and the elder gods are two separate groups of entities. The great old ones are your standard eldritch abominations like Cthulhu whereas the elder gods are the former lords of the great old ones and as the name implies actual gods worshiped in different religions or ancient cultures like Amaterasu or Hypnos.

Um actually, in Fullmetal Alchemist, you *can* create more matter than originally present/violate natural providence by using a philosophers stone. A philosophers stone is created from of the souls of living humans, not from their matter. This does not bypass equivalent exchange, but it does allow the production of additional matter
That's not correct IIRC, Zarathos IS the Demon, but the original Spirit of Vengeance was already inside of both Johnny Blaze and his half Brother Daniel Ketch, The Original Spirit of Vengeance was passed to them (I think from their mother) and that spirit's name is Noble Kane? maybe Kale? Which is the source of Johnny and Danny's Ghost Rider Power. Zarathos WAS put into Johnny by mephisto, in an attempt to control the potential danger to him that Johnny's Innate Spirit of Vengeance could present to him. This went badly, as Zarathos struggled for control, and eventually was Removed. I think, Danny's Powers were later Triggered when He found Johnny's old Bike in a junk yard. and He was mentioned as "zarathos Unbound" because it was the spirit of vengeance WITHOUT the Demon Zarathos directing it. Um Actually Final Fantasies VII and VIII (and many if not all others) allow you to name the protagonist whatever you want. So while you can say their names with certainty in supplemental/extended material, it is technically inaccurate to say the protagonists of those GAMES are Cloud and Squall (which is why I didn't learn Tidus' name until years after playing the FFX). I don't expect a point for this at all, as it is pedantic beyond reason; but I had to get it out. ^-^

Um, actually hot water can make some stains set into the fabric, particularly any stain that contains a lot of protein or fat, like chocolate or blood. This is more than a trivial issue, as a significant portion of stains will be made worse if washed in hot water.

Um actually, as somebody else mentioned the last time this was uploaded, the Rainbow Raider pictured was NOT a Superman enemy. The pictured version is a Flash enemy. While, Superboy (not Superman) did encounter a villain named the Rainbow Raider in Superboy #84 (Google it if you want to see what he looked like), the two Rainbow Raiders are not the same character. And neither is technically a Superman enemy, since one is a Superboy enemy (yes, Superboy is just younger Superman, but they have different codenames, so they're not the same). And strangely, there is yet another character named Rainbow Raider in the original Dial H for Hero series.
Wasn't Rainbow Raider is a Flash villain? He may have fought Superman at some point since they are all in the same universe but he is "known as" a Flash Villain.
Not sure if it was just in the original FMA anime, but material does not need to be transformed into something else with the same basic physical composition as I remember a plotline where they stated transmuting regular items into gold was entirely possible, however I think it was made illegal as it would mess with inflation or something along those lines You also normally can't convert inorganic material to organic material, however with a Philosopher's Stone you can bypass this
um actually, Dr. Horrible's freeze way, though he sings about it stopping the world, is only able to freeze Captain Hammer when used in the climactic scene.
I think it was more a matter of it's timing, [adult swim] wasn't as popular during the show's early years and R&M's production cycle is way more reliable lol
It's probably because the inspiration (Johnny quest and show like it) is completely irrelevant to a modern audience while Rick and Morty's Sci fi inspiration is still at the forefront of "nerd" culture so it's a lot easier to get into (though honestly venture bros is so much better if you can get into it)

Short one first - Umm, Actually... SVU is rarely about murder, that is the other L&O series. SVU is usually about Sexual Assault and Torture and things of that nature. Danny's going to bed to some freaky stuff. Umm Actually, and I think I said this on the first upload a few years ago, Conan absolutely takes place within the Cthulhu Mythos. The Yog-Sothoth Mythos the Lovecraft created (what he preferred to call it IIRC - Yog-Sothothery), was designed to be open source and anyone who wanted to contribute to and borrow from was welcome to, and in the expanded Mythos includes a shit-load of authors and stories and movies and games. Howard and Lovecraft also exchanged multiple letters on this subject. August Derleth, another friend and contributor to Lovecraft's universe, also compiled one of the most comprehensive lores that incorporated many of these works. Derleth's compilation is what became known as the Cthulhu Mythos, and 100% includes Howard's Conan and Hyborian Age (considered the lost age of man). Originally the stories weren't meant to be in the same universe, more a multiple universes thing, connected by aspects of theme and lore, where only one world-ending event occurred within a generation. As opposed to the Derleth version where Nyarlathotep creating chaos, at the same time as Cthulhu waking up, at the same time as Azathoth trying to consume the universe, at the same time as The King in Yellow is driving everyone insane, at the same time as interdimensional vortex controlling witch is sending hounds of tindalos in to the world at the same time as... you get the idea. There is only so much celestial calamity that a single planet can take.
Um, actually, the reason Derleth's version isn't generally accepted is that he tried to label Lovecraft's monsters on a good/evil scale, compared to the utterly alien beings they were supposed to be.

Um, actually Dr Horrible doesn’t have a doctorate of any kind. The PHD in horribleness is just part of his catchphrase.
The struggle was real for this one. Loved the questions. I don't think anyone answered anything with confidence in this one
Tao was pretty confident with the multiplayer abbreviations 🤣
Um, actually, Teo didn't reply with "Um, actually" on his first response. He said "Uh, actually."
Um, actually, he spells his name Tao
Um actually, he originally says "oh, uhm" and then "oh, actually" later on in his response thus eventually, within his answer, he is in fact saying the words "um" and "actually"
Um, actually his name is Paulo
Um, actually. The Great Old Ones and the Elder Things are two entirely different alien races. Whereas Cthulhu was a priest of the Great Old Ones, the Elder things were an alien race that created Shoggoths and perhaps humans.
Beat me to it. They're also one of the most hilariously goofy looking and least scary Lovecraft creations 😂
small Um, actually for the Hank and Dean thing, everything was right, BUT you didn't mention how Dr. Venture actually prepared several dozen clones of his sons pretty much as soon as they were born, and they wait in vats in the basement to have the previous Hank and Dean's memories uploaded into their brains so they can wake up in their beds should they die. There IS a difference in that this acknowledges the problem with cloning, that being shortened telomeres causing premature aging. Rusty made sure to prepare as many clones as he could when they were as young as possible so he wouldn't have to worry about making clones of clones.
Um Actually, the Venture Brothers are not technically 16 at that point because of how the cloning works. Hank and Dean are actually like 19 according to their original birthdays, but it's a point of contention in universe as their dad even talks about how they grow up so fast if you let them...
Um actually there is an editing error in the video since at 31:24 David's point total goes up from 2 to 3 but when we return to the view of the contestants at 31:35 his score is back to 2 on his podium, at which point it is back to 3 again 31:47 for the final score readout.
@@robertdeelen6685 Um actually, wasn't he known originally as the spirit of justice and a protector of humanity during the ancient times, but was tricked into hell, being tormented and corrupted until he changed, swearing revenge against mephisto?
Memphis to? He also forgot his reason to protect humanity and instead sought to burn, punish, and devour souls of sinners becoming the spirit of vengeance?
But to be fair, you are right, this is a different universe, I think mcu, so you are probably right as well
13:04 While it is correct to say that Flowey is Asriel, technically Flowey is not TRULY Asriel without a soul, in the sense that if Asriel's soul was removed he would not necessarily become Flowey.
Good morning, fellow Um Actually Routine people!
Ehmm goodmorning for you, goodnight for me xD
My Friday ritual.
Um actually, it is afternoon 😁. God this is lame, but I am keeping this comment up!
Also, [BIG SPOILER ALERT] the last transmutation performed by the FullMetal Alchemist is in fact a successful Human Transmutation.
i literally was about to say the exact same thing
Technically soul and body transmutation are possible if the subject is alive, Al's body and soul are removed and put back together. you just can't access the souls of the dead
human transmutation doesn't have to be bringing someone back from the dead, Dr Tucker used transmutation on both his wife and daughter
SPOILER ALLERT
At the end, Ed manages to use the law of equivalent exchange to reverse to progress.
2 while the death ray does malfunction, it does technically kill penny(doctor Horribles love interest) and blows up the hammers fist(causing him pain for the first time in his life)
Um, actually, the freeze ray does not stop time - despite the song Freeze Ray claiming it will do as much, its only shown effect is to freeze one target in an undefined way.
Nothing has ever made me feel nerdier than knowing that rainbow islands is not an educational game because I just so happened to own the ds version as a kid. This show is amazing
Theres also a Japanese version of the sea monk called an umibozu and some interpretations of that looks a lot like Dani's drawing. Like an giant slimy head thing you cant see the whole of.
Had to giggle listening to that "listen to xyz while trying to sleep" convo as I listen to um, actually while I fall asleep 🤣
Can't you at least tag these with "reupload" if it's not a new episode?
Please for the love of god
none of them are new episodes
@@thewingedporpoise they are if you didn't watch them on dropout
@@thewingedporpoise they're not new but this one isn't even new to TH-cam
@@nothanks1337 i never had dropout but i remember this episode. ive been watching the youtube videos
Um actually, during the malfunction of the death ray, Penny dies.... so technically the death ray did kill someone. Also actually the transmatter ray is a work in progress and wasn't shown to actually steal gold yet.
Um, actually, the gold was transported from there, to here! But the molecules tend to, uh, shift, in the trans...matter...uh...
And by the way, it's not about *making* money, it's about *taking* money! Destroying the status quo! Because the status is NOT quo!
Um, actually cold water works better on cleaning protein-based food stains on clothing, as hot water can denature the proteins and cause the stain to get further stuck in the fabric.
That makes sense, because cold water is better for cleaning blood out of clothing. (No, I'm not a murderer, just someone who menstruates.)
Man, the Final Fantasy question I would have gotten it wrong, I would have said the Gunblades used by Squall and Lightning are totally different, in that Squall’s gunblade has a trigger that vibrates the blade, whereas Lightning’s is a true gunblade, and has functionalities of both.
great, another rerun.
BTW I mean a TH-cam rerun, I know they've all been posted to Dropout a couple of years ago. But this full length episode was already posted, give-or-take bleeps and Trapp's commercial in the middle.
Um actually, cold water is best for laundry because hot water will set blood and you'll never get it out, and I end up with a lot of blood on my clothes.
Um actually, the Elder Things and the Great Old Ones are not the same thing. The Elder Things were a technology advanced pre-human race. Alien but comprehensible.
Great Old Ones are various godlike alien beings.
It can still be a reference to, or at least inspired by, the works of Lovecraft.
@@tretretre1111 well yes, I do not dispute that. Elder Things and Great Old Ones are both explicitly from Lovecraft. It's just that they're different things in the mythos.
There's also I believe they're called the Old Gods and they're ENTIRELY different and not entirely chaotic and unknowable like the Great Old Ones
Um, actually, while the Great Old Ones are alien, they are not godlike. That would be the Outer Gods, like Azathoth or Yog-Sothoth.
@@thewanderingmistnull2451 calling the outer gods god-like is tautalogical. They are straight up gods.
The GOOs are godlike in that they are individuals of immense power that attract worship without necessarily being divine.
Um, actually, I know it was a joke anyway, but Dr. Evil didn't study evil in college, he went to evil medical school.
Hey, is this a reposted episode? I have seen this one like a month or two ago when I was binging the show. Also, the previously posted episode was also repost.
i got deja vu when i saw the drawings of the sea monk, definetely a repost
If you’re a Dropout subscriber you likely have seen it on there since I believe these are all reposts from the member section unless we’re finally caught up
It is. I watched the full episode back on July 1st on this channel. This one and at least 7 others have been set to private, and they're reuploading them. It's defnitely not a Dropout, hosted on College Humor or 13 minute thing, because some of the episodes are still up on the WayBackMachine FROM this channel, and they're completely full.
Glad you said this and I'm not the only one!
I think in binging...we saw a private video. Opps.
@@daviddriscoll8547 Maybe, maybe.... I was checking the upload dates on some of the episodes to see how frequently they post, and a lot of them were "2 months ago".
Um, actually, "I have a PhD in horribleness" is a catchphrase he tries out at one point, but there's no suggestion that it's literally true, and the way his roommate reacts suggests that it's not. We don't know what his doctorate is in, or even if he actually has one.
Um actually, in Fullmetal Alchemist, you *can* create more matter than originally present/violate natural providence by using a philosophers stone. A philosophers stone is created from of the souls of living humans, not from their matter. This does not bypass equivalent exchange, but it does allow the production of additional matter
Um actually, while Doctor Horrible's death ray did malfunction, it did manage to kill his love interest, Penny.
26:41 the point totals in this scene are 3 1 4 but when they cut away to the host and then cut back the point totals are 2 1 3
Um, actually - this episode is a rerun.
The sad thing is that despite how ridiculous he looked "The Candy King" was the last one on that list they thought couldn't be a Superman villain.
Um actually, Zarathos is the angel of vengeance, not a demon
Sorry. It's the one Comic Book Subscription i had ALL of as a kid.
@@ghostkill221 No, Zarathos is an arch angel. He's believed to be a demon because of his connection to Hell but he's actually an angel bound to Hell by contract.
The only instance I have for LFG is "Let's Fuckin Go!!!!"
We were an Atari family. Had an Atari computer and the 7800. Mom was the one who wouldn’t allow the Nintendo because of their shelf space deal that required purveyors to give the majority of space to Nintendo. Dad was into getting and building computers. He would spend more on computers than our cars. They had an old truck and a Volkswagen Beetle while we had compuserve and prodigy internet, spending tons of money on phone bills to connect long distance to different servers for their faster speeds. Always getting the next big storage medium, sound cards and different printers. Software of the month club was a staple and even had a family friend computer engineer who built different boards for us to try out and play with. I can remember experimenting with different cardboard and fiberglass processing for making the boards.
Uhm actually... there is a continuity error at 26:47 Dani has 3 Points in that frame, where she already got her fourth one in the frame before at 26:39 .
Speaking of Mayo man, you'll be surprised to know about the ACTUAL DC villian The Condiment King, who literally has guns to shoot things like ketchup, mustard, and mayo. He's primarily a Batman villian I think, and I'm unsure if he's appeared in any Superman comics.
He's one of Batman's Silver Age comic era villains.
Great song dude. It gives me a feeling of melencholic hope.
Um Actually
Final Fantasies VII and VIII (and many if not all others) allow you to name the protagonist whatever you want.
Um actually it's not the law of conservation of mass but the law of equivalent exchange. That's why you can trade body limbs with souls and souls with creating stuff out of nowhere
Um, actually, washing in hot water will bake a stain into your fabrics. Also printer toner will set right in.
Um, actually hot water can make some stains set into the fabric, particularly any stain that contains a lot of protein or fat, like chocolate or blood. This is more than a trivial issue, as a significant portion of stains will be made worse if washed in hot water.
Never do I click on something so fast as with Um, Actually notifications
Is it just me or could David pass for a young Jeff Goldblum?
Um, actually, the scores are listed incorrectly at 28:46. The score on the far right is four prior to this scene, becomes three at 28:46, and ends at four shortly after this scene.
I watch these just for fun like most, and I usually suck or just guess. I’m growing as a nerd maybe because I’m 6:35 in and I’m 4/4 with full confidence and even knew the details of three of them, I’m freaking out lol
If you're "re-uploading" an episode, please mention it in the description/dooblydoo.
Actually I've never seen this so its new for me
Yeah. I didn't notice until the Amazon Aurora thing
i was like... where have i seen this before for so long.
I always enjoy when final fantasy tactics is brought up
Um actually this game awards you the most important thing of all, a sense of superiority over your fellow nerd
Um actually, Zarathos is not a demon bit in fact a tortured and broken Angel, which is why Ghostrider can turn into the Angelrider when he lets go of his hate and attachments
Um actually to the correction about flowey the entity known as flowey isnt just Asriel Dremmur without a soul it is the product of experimentation by Alphys of injecting determination into the yellow flowers that grew outside Asriels home
Um Actually, Doctor Horrible doesn't necessarily have a doctorate in horribleness, he just uses it as a catchphrase so it may just be a line he comes up with
Things I learned: Conan the Barbarian is actually Conan the Warlock; Tao is a fucking gamer
Um Actually, Elder Things aren't the same thing as the Old One. They are a separate species of ancient aliens that are not gods.
Um actually, the creature with a bishop's hat is not a sea monk, it's a sea bishop. Sea monks are representative of what rays look like if you see them from the underside
admit it though, the puzzler has left you puzzled.
UM ACTUALLY, THIS IS THE FIRST EPISODE WHERE I KNEW ALMOST EVERYTHING!
Wasn't Rainbow Raider is a Flash villain? He may have fought Superman at some point since they are all in the same universe but he is "known as" a Flash Villain.
All those video game references were a good time to hear
A question about Carter Slade(Phantom Rider), this is awesome!!
Yeah Yog Sogoth is literally in the Conan mythos.
Conan fights Cthulhu directly in an officially licensed D&D module
Not sure if it was just in the original FMA anime, but material does not need to be transformed into something else with the same basic physical composition as I remember a plotline where they stated transmuting regular items into gold was entirely possible, however I think it was made illegal as it would mess with inflation or something along those lines
You also normally can't convert inorganic material to organic material, however with a Philosopher's Stone you can bypass this
um actually, Dr. Horrible's freeze way, though he sings about it stopping the world, is only able to freeze Captain Hammer when used in the climactic scene.
The Venture Bros. is the best show to ever be on television. It's criminal that it never got a large following like Rick & Morty.
Honestly still devastated that Venture Bros was cancelled. Seems like the hope for a revival isn't going anywhere as well.
I think it was more a matter of it's timing, [adult swim] wasn't as popular during the show's early years and R&M's production cycle is way more reliable lol
It's probably because the inspiration (Johnny quest and show like it) is completely irrelevant to a modern audience while Rick and Morty's Sci fi inspiration is still at the forefront of "nerd" culture so it's a lot easier to get into (though honestly venture bros is so much better if you can get into it)
@@grayanotoxin6131 I was too. Sadly it appears you are correct that a revival isn't coming. The news that [as] has greenlit a tv movie to act as a finale is at least something. I have eagerly bought each DVD set upon release and several other collectibles to show my support for the show, trying to vote with my dollars, maybe my tiny contribution over the years helped it stay alive as long has it did/has.
@@fugyfruit I like to think of VB as a Old Family BBQ (especially if you compare marinades and slow cookers to their release schedule), and R&M as fast food.
um actually, an acronym is formed by the first letter of a series of words *and pronounced as a word* the examples in the show were initialisms not acronyms
I know this is late but since I don't see it in the comments I'm just gonna point out that
Umm actually the protagonist of FFXIII is nicknamed lightning but her real name is Claire Farron so technically david was correct
Um actually the normal cycle works for every type of fabric as long as you're okay with certain fabrics falling apart over time.
24:58 UM Actually that’s an M&M line.
Um, Actually, 26:47 has a cut to a previous point in the game and is out of place here (the scores are wrong)
Was Tao one of the fans that got to come on the show? Because if so that’s awesome that they had him back.
21:48 I really thought LFG was "Let's Fucking Go". I was not familiar with "Looking For Group", but that may be because I have never played WoW.
Reruns?
Um Actually, sea monks are not depicted with Bishop's hats, those are slightly different creatures, sea Bishops, or the Bishop-fish
I call shenanigans on the Twilight Zone answer. Dani pointed out a second technicality, but David got the actual answer they were looking for. Dani should only have gotten the point if no one could get closer.
Um Actually, in the Cthulhu Mythos the Great Old Ones are completely different from the Elder Things
True. Elder Things were just sentient, mortal beings with much better technology than humans who lived on Earth long before humanity evolved. They got wiped out by their own creations, the Shoggoths.
0:24 I just want someone to confirm, is Dani saying yum about herself or something else with that comment?
24:55
I thought he said "The Twilight film" not "The Twilight Zone" and let me tell you, the absolute confusion I felt--
