- After failing to capture Luke Skywalker during the Battle of Hoth, Darth Vader-Skywalker's father-set a trap for Skywalker on the Cloud City of Bespin. He captured Han Solo and Leia Organa to torture them, hoping to lure Skywalker out of hiding. Skywalker saw a vision of his friends' suffering while on Dagobah, where he trained with Jedi Master Yoda, and rushed to Cloud City to help them, despite the objections of both Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
When he arrived, Skywalker briefly encountered Imperial troops and Boba Fett, who was taking a carbon-frozen Solo to his ship. Skywalker avoided the enemy forces and made his way to the carbon-freezing chamber and found Vader waiting for him...

It would have solved so many problems later on if he was smart and did that in the movies! :D
It's kinda funny, but Vader's fighting style really doesn't translate very well to the fast, frantic combat system of Jedi Academy. In the films Vader is quite slow and methodical, economical with his movements. Compare that to Jedi Academy where the NPCs' AI and the game's design in general make characters run and leap all over the place constantly. The contrast is funny, but a little jarring to me.
The modders are doing what they can to make Vader justice but they are not quite there yet.
he fights pretty fast in the battlefront 2 games and it looks seamless with his size and power when he uses the force to move quickly. Vader is only SOMEWHAT "quite slow" in the original trilogy but he's supposed to be much faster than that if he's the empire's jedi killer than anyone could have beaten him and we all know that's not true.

Everything was great even though Luke still kept his hand will just say this is Alternate Timeline Battle but everything else was still pretty accurate great job and effort .
That was just a problem with the model, I couldn't get a way to take it off during filming.

8:18 in the movie he get's his hand cut off by vader when he's standing on this thin walk way or whatever it's called and when vader get's hit on his shoulder by luke's lightsaber he destroy's that thing on the left of luke then vader cut's of his hand but anyway love the video and the content keep it up my boy!!

Well, this IS a mod for an already existing Star Wars game: Jedi Academy. One day, the devs will make this duel for real in the mod.
Can we play Luke Skywalker in the Cloud City walking until fall in Vader trap to fall inside the Carbon Freezing Chamber like Empire Strikes Back?
It’s a custom level I made, though the MD team will make that level in the future.

@@hardcordiv4190 For whatever reason, in early versions of MD enemies would wait a certain period of time before attacking. Something to do with map AI path finding.

How did u get the npcs to act like the way you made them, and that map isn't in Movie Duels. Is it hidden, how do I access this content?
This video was made after the Christmas update, and they added this map in the update! Also, I use the 'freeze npc' command to get them to stop when I need them to. :)

This is a custom mission by me using the duel map. I'm not a dev so I'm not sure when the level will be added.
How do you get 3rd person with that blaster and what blaster is it? Also how do you give yourself a specific blaster
You can use an ingame menu to give yourself individual weapons in the new update, and you can toggle first person guns.

How did you get voice lines from the movies during the pause moments of the duel? Especially at the end when Luke gets his hand chopped off
Before I had editing software, I used OBS to record the audio of the game and of Google Chrome. So I underwent the painstaking task of skipping and pausing a playlist of the music/scenes in order. It took a while, because if the timing was off or something wrong happened (ie Darth Vader dying too fast or falling off the railing) I had to restart.
@@Gumegguai I was thinking of finding the audio I want on TH-cam, use an MP3 converter and add it in, it’s only for non fighting bits. Do you think that will work well?

@@GumegguaiI use wondershare Filmora to put stuff together! I was only going to have audio over the top when I want a character to speak
That totally works. If you are using Jedi Academy/Movie Duels in your videos, you can also go through the files and the voice lines of characters will be there in MP3 form.

Making sure he stays with me. Follow ranges for that map are very short because there aren't any botroutes.
