So basically a rocket with a tiny cockpit. You are on your way to space good sir.
Can't wait for the super sonic space speed record
@@SamIam197 You realize the speed of sound in space is zero right? If you are moving at all, you are supersonic
@@michaelchen695 he's an engineer
@@michaelchen695 No, you're technically "sonic" if you're not moving at all as the speed is also 0.
As opposed to the UK space agency... 🤣
If you use or logigates, you can program your multiple controls into one set up. I believe thatdomguy has a video on logic
for trailmakers.
I don't know how he doesn't know that
Architect vibes
Yo I love these trailmakers videos!
The wild fever dream for some Mekka-Anime fans. RCE nails it xD
If you have a normal trust with no movement and use fewer engines for steering it will be way more stable i think
If you only wanted to go straight up then rocket would do just fine. You should have tried some kinda race to get best jetpack
Makes a mech. Turns it into a rocket.
Matt: Is this a jetpack?
More of an Iron Man suit then a jetpack I feel.
"if it has wings, it's a plane"
"if it has thruster, it's a jetpack"
@tristan wienen If you are like duct taped to the outside of it, yes it is a jetpack.
@@Nick-hi9gx that's a good way of defining it
What is a jetpack but a rocket you strap a person to?
Matt, this isn't a jet pack.. you basically strapped the guy to a giant rocket.
Goal: make a supersonic jetpack
RCE: we are building a frickin open plan rocket
People usually try to break the sound barrier.Matt tries to blow it up
Matt: calls it a jetpack.
me: man thats no jetpack thats a rocket chair
I love that RCE basically immediately made a knob version of MODOK
Matt, you were so close trying to figure out how to make the jets turn you properly.
Instead of using two servos on each engine with matching controls, you give them a single servo with independent controls.
You also don't need to reduce the angle the engines fire at for a spin, quite the opposite actually. The closer the angle is to 90°, the tighter the spin will be. By reducing the angle, the engines are giving more of their thrust towards increasing your altitude, rather than changing your direction.
Left engine forward = W
Left engine back = S
Right engine forward = E
Right engine back = D
Then, when you want to fly forwards press S&D, to fly backwards it's W&E.
To rotate right press S&E, to rotate left it's W&D.
This method also gives you the ability to do a sort of banking arc, left or right, forwards and backwards, by just firing one engine at a time.
Happy Engineering 😊
“So close trying” Pat pats for Matt😂
.... Way too complicated for mat.... 😂🤣
its easier to use a logic block too route the secondary inputs through
Pretty sure he was trying to increase the controllability of the turning rather than just spiraling out of control.
You should apply to the UK space agency... they are still trying to figure out how to get basic rockets into space. 🤣
The air speed record without glitches is 16.000!!!!
I'm just amazed at how, when RCE builds something, it just naturally takes on the strongest shape. Is it a gift, or has he just programmed himself so that always happens when he builds? 🤔
How about a submarine in a boat in a large truck in a plane
Okay. The video title promised a *hypersonic* jetpack. We got a *supersonic* jetpack. I think Matt owes us a hypersonic jetpack... although I don't think it would meet the definition of "jetpack"... which was already being stretched substantially by the supersonic contraption... which was, admittedly, an amazing piece of engineering.
I broke my arm yesterday and your videos keep me entertained in this boring hospital... thank you RCE
3:08 Imagine if you make a Wheelchair that breaks the sound barrier. That would be a great video.
Dont encourage him...
Day 15 of asking RCE to play Scrap Mechanic
I thought you were on 27?
@@nullsnaggle5198 man he lost count then came up with random numbers
@@nullsnaggle5198 that's probably someone completely else
Imagine him trying to make a functional diesel powered ship on storm works
I really do hope he plays Scrap Mechanic at some point. I remember the poll he did a while ago on whether he should play Minecraft or Scrap Mechanic, and although I love Minecraft a lot more (it's my favorite game of all time versus Scrap Mechanic which I've never actually played despite watching content on it for over 5 years), I still voted Scrap Mechanic because it would be a better fit for the channel (still love the Minecraft series, though).
Having the engine at the top, and the pilot and other gubbins hanging down, so that the thing will be intrinsically stable, "hanging" from it's engine, is a mistake.
It's a popular misconception in rocketry. I'm not sure why though, I think I understood it at one point, but that day has passed. As a Civil Engineer you're probably better with static things than dynamic ones, bridges not generally having a thrust to weight ratio. But anyway... engine at the top is unstable, for very important rocket science reasons. How the game implements it's physics, I dunno, but it's wrong. Unless the gimbal jet is just hard-coded for "down" no matter what, but that's not very realistic.
What really happens, is that any imbalance gets worse, rather than correcting itself, and the thing nosedives. But again, proper proper rocket science, don't ask me.
Oh what a nice rocket you created.
At what point is a jetpack just a regular jet plane?
As soon as you add in extra protection for the guy flying it.
Surprised you didnt add stabilizer engines at the bottom for the strongest most efficient form for the jet pack
so it's the try number 2 of telling RCE to play scrap mechanics and build an EFFECINT buildings
So in trailmakers for flying vehicles for pitch and roll you can use helicopter engines without blades to pitch and roll because they create torque so that’s how you can pitch and roll without using thrusters and servos
Love Trailmakers (But only when others play it, too complicated for me)
Minor thing - you made a supersonic jetpack, not a hypersonic jetpack. Supersonic is Mach 1 (~760mph), and hypersonic is Mach 5 (~3,800mph). (that's simplified a bit - hypersonic is defined based on something other than speed, so it isn't exactly Mach 5)
Day 121:Dear Matt,
I have a very good video idea
Gather all your editors and make them all have a fight on like a PvP game (e.g. Minecraft,Rust,Ect,ect...) And see who is the best editor and is worthy of the rank of a classified engineering. From me.
2:28 Matt, why did you build an electric chair? 🤨
Don't think that qualifies as a jetpack. A jetpack you wear and can still walk. You basically built a jet-chair...
Day 64 of asking RCE to play scrap mechanic
Day 12 of asking RCE to play Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
That looks more like a rocket than a jetpack
12:52 I don't think this is a jetpack. this is just an open concept rocket. very trendy and hip, but not a jetpack lol
Sonic Boom Idea:
Build a "rocket" that has a LOT of mass under it.
Go to height limit.
Get rid of the thrusters.
Fall Down due to gravity.
Sonic Boom because of free fall speed
I'm pretty sure that's called a "rocket", not a jetpack, lol.
4:06 Yes you can! All you have to is use AND logic gate. Extremley easy, barley an inconvinience. Im suprised you didn't know that after this many crazy vehicles.
13:26 That's no longer a Jetpack He's made a Rocket lol
Hi! RCE, there is a guy on YT named Atomic Gaming (it’s not an add!!!), who got a new video where he built great city in Timberborn game. He said, that he’ll build The Strongest Shape Megabuild if you react to his video) We are all waiting😂
"The top is all the way up there so, I have to [use a] jetpack yo get into the jetpack"
got it
😑
😂🤣😂
Cheers mate
Just for future reference, you can use Logic blocks (or, and and such), which takes input, and then connect them to the other blocks to serve as multiple inputs to the same blocks.
“You can have negative speed, what does negative speed do” hahaha love it
To be fair, strictly speaking negative speed isn't a thing. Since speed is just magnitude, not direction. Velocity can be negative.
You need logic to give multiple controls to the same parts, unfortunately engineers have never seen a logic block in their lives, working har on blueprints, correcting the horrible work of architects.
RCE lets break the sound barier with a jetpack ..... Builds a Rocket xD i love it
Architects < Engineers < TH-camr Engineer who engineers as a job but still has no clue what he's doing in games that engineering is a big part of
Day 3 of asking RCE how his day is
Only a minute and already with the Iron Man references, don’t know what I expected.
"Negative Benefits" -RCE
Next up: Supersonic sailboat.
Challange RCE !
Build a super sonic build that’s not a bunch of jets attached to a seat
I’m working on a civil engineer joke but it’s still under construction.
you can use a logic gate to have multiple controlls for the servos
This is hilarious since you can break the sound barrier with only 4 gimbals a seat and some aero bits
That's a rocket not a jetpack
Just imagine RCE plays Gta San Andreas....
Next Mat tries to get the strongest shape to break the sound barrier. 🤔
You should be able to use logic to control a servo, with multiple inputs feeding into the logic.
Supersonic and hypersonic aren't the same speed sadly...
I don’t think he’s heard of logic (the game block)
Scrap mechanic 🥲
Oh goodness Matt, you really have outdone yourself again
when does it turn from a jet pack to a rocket booster with a seat attached
Should put tailwings on other side more stable +
Honestly this game would be awesome to try a giant mecha
I wanna see him build a Gundam or a Mech suit in this game now
You can add multiple controls to servos using an XOR/OR logic gate!
Please please make a space engineers series! It even has engineer in the name
Wow two iron man clips in a row and from different movies no less
Play ksp 2 when it comes out on Feb 24
Is this just a copy of scrap mechanic? 😂
Day I give up
Day of asking rcs I give up
Sorry RCE, but that is just a rocket
5 minutes into the video and theres a mech.
Nah that's a rocketpack
Make a supersonic VTOL
Please do the strong shape speed record
Heey.
I was wondering, can You make a supersonic vehicle that is powered only by cannons recoil as a source of thrust?
No glitches!
Scrapman(The greatest TM TH-camr) tried it and failed... Wanna take a challenge?
It is a rocket with no capsule
dude play mikecraft again
7
Is that you lord business?
13:50 Its not pieces. Its complexity. Every normal block is worth one complexity, no matter the size. But moving parts (Hinges pistons etc) cost 5 complexity. Also wheels and skis cost even more complexity.
RCE you CAN give multiple controls to a engine, you just need to use logic blocks
Weird Kerbal episode o.0
RCE becomes a Sonic fan when he plays Trailmakers
"What's your favorite song?"
"Sonic Boom"
"What's your favorite show?"
"Sonic Boom"
"What's your life's moto?"
"Gotta go fast."
PLS TRY SCRAP MECHANIC!!!!!!
I feel this is less of a jetpack and more a reverse drop pod, for a person getting to something into space from the ground in like a minute flat.
Supersonic jet tower
4:17 you can with logic
According to Webster's dictionary, a jetpack is "a device worn on the back", and it defines worn as "to carry or have on the body or about the person as a covering, equipment, ornament, or the like"....I don't think this guy is carrying the jetpack
Woah he said my name 1:38
Matt went to trailmakers and started playing KSP, also....day 3 of requesting a satisfactory playthrough.
How about you try to make an all terrain vehicle which can brake the sound barrier?
Day 8 pls play spore 0:00
PLay bounty of one (w/ blitz Cade intern and baron)
There is a third boss. First take him out on the horse.
Next, he will shoot blue balls that you have to dodge for a while.
Now, these balls are going to start circling around before going back in.
He can also shoot his very accurate gun
Watch out for the red lines at the edge of the screen, horses will come in that line and you have to dodge
I'm at the point with the stupid dick jokes that I just quit watching when they come up. Eventually I just won't start anymore. The fixation on the shape is something an architect would experience, not an engineer.
you could just stack rotors, having 2 in each side, so you put the control for forward and back in one pair and the left/right int the other
it may not work well if try push both butttons at same time
oh, he did it some time after lol
“Is it a bird?” “Is it a plane?” “Is it a shooting star?” “Close but no,it’s a man strapped into a super jet width 1000 thrusters and thinks that it’s a jet pack”
Love your videos
Would patron but I’m only 13
Maybe you could do a video in cities skyline and make your city on top of a bridge 😊😊😊😊
