Why do I have all of these canoe paddles?

- In today’s video, I go through my personal Quiver of Canoe Paddles and talk about why I use them and what I find valuable about each one. All too often we get obsessed over the canoe itself, but the paddle is the paintbrush and hopefully this will inspire you to pursue your own quiver of fun paddles!
Happy to answer any questions in the comments!

Glad I found this video! Getting inspired to do some canoeing with the wife. Those are some beautiful paddles!
As Ethan’s father,I can assure you his enthusiasm for all this gear is real. I know, since as a parent we had to store it as he was growing up.
😂
Great video! Thank you Ethan for sharing your experiences. Your Paddles art creating memories! looking forward to paddling this spring and summer with some new ones in my quiver. Happy Paddlin’!
Thanks Lori! What new paddles are you going to use? 😃🛶
I really liked this video, Ethan. I'll show you what I did with the paddles I've made. Look for a PM & again, nice video.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. For those of you who have never had the pleasure of meeting Ethan in person this is typical Friday night conversation around the back porch. Doesn’t get much more authentic than this. 😂 always trying to justify to me all the gear he has in his garage.
Super cool. You should put your height in there somewhere too. I don't get to Spokane much (Portland and Seattle a lot more), but I'll have to check that shop out, and maybe pick up a new paddle. For tandem I have a Bending Branches BB Special for me at the rear, and a Grey Owl straight shaft for my wife in the front, and that works good. Solo, I used to always use an old Voyagur wood kayak paddle, and now it always is in my boat again too. It is a wood paddle, and scooped a little, with the urathane tip. I really love that paddle, but I guess they have been out of business for a while. I got to check out those carbon fiber Bending Branches paddles at Saranac Lake in New York, and still really want both the all carbon, and the wood carbon ... maybe some day - but I feel a little glutonous if I did get them - but I really like a nice paddle! Anyway, thanks for sharing!
I absolutely love my BB Black Pearl II paddles and sunburst! Thinkin bout a custom 48” beaver tail. 👍👍😁🇺🇸
That seems very short for a beaver tail so curious on how you intend to use that!
So well done and thoroughly enjoyed...not to mention some great information!. I think you are the only one that has done this kinda presentation with some great paddles At least..I have never come across another presentation this well done regarding a lot of different designs! Thanks for doing this!
Great tip re getting a blade size for your body/style - probably not even considered by many.
Thanks for sharing that information. I was wondering what your height is so I can get an idea of the paddle lengths you mentioned?
