How to program a Cadillac Escalade remote key fob 2002 - 2006

1. Close all vehicle doors.
2. Insert the key into the ignition.
3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 9.
4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine).
6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically.
10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks and unlocks. This step may take up to 30 seconds.
11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).
12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.

Can I use the passenger door? My unlock button on the driver side don’t work properly
No, it needs to be the drivers door
you can actually use passenger. my driver one was broke also and I used passenger and it worked perfectly
Would this process work for a 2004 Cadillac SRX ?
No - unfortunately there is no manual procedure to program a remote fob for a 2004 SRX

You will need a Dealership or Automotive Locksmith to program the fobs - they will have to hook a computer/programmer up to your vehicle

After gping thru steps key fobs only lock and won unlock
Did the 02-06 escalade fob hv a dedicated button to open the glass on lift gate.only ? Or how was opening the glass accomplished?
No - it will need to be done with the button on the vehicle itself
Ok thanks thing is the previous owner has shaved the rear wiper , the button , and the emblem are all gone . So I'm just trying to figure out how that glass portion can be opened without getting into the mechanism.
But how do I unlock hatch back on 2005 Escalade? Help
It should unlock when you unlock all the doors. Press unlock twice on the remote

Good video. I got a brad new fob and i try to do what you say to do and my fob wont respond or connects i can the car to the program mode but the fob wont connect i sat holding the buttoms on the fob for a good 10 minutes and nothing
if the vehicle is going into programming mode but not responding to the fob - there may be an issue with the fob

Didn't work on my 02 Cadillac Escalade 😢
For some reason my remote won't program. When I'm holding the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for a few seconds, I hear a faint sound from the horn and the locks never cycle letting me know the remote is paired....i even held the buttons for as long as 5 minutes🤷😵
If you look at the steps in the description box of the video, do you door locks cycle in step 9? That is what indicates the vehicle is in programming mode
@@PYR-Auto yes it goes into programming mode, just makes a faint noise from the horn when holding the lock/unlock buttons on the remote and nothing else
Although the horn making a faint sound is not common symptom of a bad remote, I would try getting a different one since you are getting vehicle into programming mode and it just is not responding properly to the remote.

It worked the first time. But now it wont work
I can only program one remote not multiples
All the remotes you want programmed to the vehicle need to be programmed during the procedure - that includes any that are already programmed. If you look at the steps in the description box of the video, you need to repeat step 10 for every remote after the first remote is programmed.
I only have one, it says “2” on the back will it work? It does nothing, I’ve changed the batteries , nothing works. I have no other one and only one key. Also my only key ONLY opens the drivers door I don’t know if I need to get the whole car re-keyed 😢
