You can totally run the cliff hanger body. A lot of guys cut out the bed and make a new bed to get the drop bed points and you can run a 2 row interior for more points. You got this matt 👍. I'm excited to see your builds and what you come up with.
Styrene building is my new goal to acquire skills this year. Bought an eBay carbon fiber chassis to build an over lander. Can’t wait to see what new skill I will feel compelled to acquire. Being your viewer is getting expensive!!!! Lol
I really enjoyed watching you step out of your comfort zone and improve your fabrication skillset during the V-Speed Mayhem, and I can't wait to see you take another big step up with Class 1. Best luck!
I'll be there for Class 2 and Class 3, I'm just looking forward to participating, and watching the Road to the Rockies series while I get ready for my 1st comp.
I’m going to try to join the East Coast Championship. I might need to lower my cliffhanger body so that it can be under 4.5 inches in height. And also get a lean interior for it as well.
Matt have the Charger sitting in front of me that IU won from the EBAY auction and now my Kyosho 1970 Chevelle has a sister car, when it stops raining so much here im going to have a blast driving them together.
I, too, havre decided to take the plunge. Head first into WRCCA World’s in Maine in September. Entered in 2.2 Pro Class. I don’t care if I place dead last. Just looking to get the experience and, who knows, there’s always that chance I may actually do well!
@@scalebuildersguild I do ! And your participation in Scale Nationals was partially inspirational to my entering WRCCA worlds. I'm up against some heat, here!
Can’t wait to meet you boys! I live in, and will be driving up from Colorado Springs with a few builds for you to bless for me. Lol. Looking forward to the comp as well.
I have my VS4-10 Ultra Class 2 90% built, and just beginning my Class 3 which will be my GroundFox Chassis as well, with the Vanquish Portal Builders Bundle I got for Xmas.
@@scalebuildersguild a slight trim on the sides and on the rear and a few small screws or glue and it’s in. A much better fit then using a wraith interior.
I've been running around on trails for the last 5-6 years. I want to try comps, even if what I bring isn't going to be competitive. It's not stock(built more for long distance reliability) sometimes 4-5 miles at a time, so usually going with g8 compound tires, no plastic wheels, no plastic spur gears. Brushless…..
This is going to be an awesome series. I think you will do a great job man. Don't stress. Much... haha. Great choice for the 2/3 I can't wait to see what your doing for class1. One step at a time right. Well maybe a couple steps at a time hahahaha. 😎👍👍
From the rules: Class 3 o 4.76” (120.9mm) minimum diameter o 6.0” (152.4mm) maximum diameter o Lugs may be removed, siped, grooved and/or trimmed o Tires may be cut and shut, all tire parts must be from a legal tire

Can't wait to see what comes out of this series. Road to scale Nats put out some of the coolest vehicles!
Stay tuned and wish me luck!
My favorite series to watch on TH-cam. I’ve been waiting for this one
Thank you so much!
I like the new intro for the Rocky Mountain regionals. The problem is is that there’s no comp stance.
Can’t wait to watch this series. Thanks Matt
Thanks for watching!
I'm so excited for this new series!!! Your builds and ideas always blow my mind...
Thank you so much!!

Good luck! You can do it!
Just love these "road to" series. Entertaining, Inspiring and fun to watch. Thank you for making these. Best regards.
Thank you!
Love this series. It is my favorite watching you build these trucks for competition and choosing what trucks you'll use. Love this channel.
Thank you! Stay tuned!
Can't wait to see😉😎👍
might see ya there! 👍😁
You got this 👍. Buckle in , its a bumpy road 🤣

Don't underestimate yourself your builds are definitely on another level don't sell yourself short
Thank you!
Totally missed this video so finally watching it 5 days later

Awesome! See you there!

Iv been waiting for this
Matt you did an amazing job on that cliffhanger paint job!
Thank you!
I’m intrigued by what you guys are planning.
Good luck!
Thank you!

Do you remember how I did at Scale Nationals? I definitely don't participate to win! 😂
@@scalebuildersguild I do ! And your participation in Scale Nationals was partially inspirational to my entering WRCCA worlds. I'm up against some heat, here!
its always fun to watch you guys build off. I cant wait to see wath the class1 is going to be, I might just build along with you guys...
Go for it!
Can’t wait to meet you boys! I live in, and will be driving up from Colorado Springs with a few builds for you to bless for me. Lol. Looking forward to the comp as well.
That's great! Make sure to come up and introduce yourself. I'm definitely looking forward to visiting Colorado.
hmm that clifhanger looks good and performes :D
you can point out with lexan but damn you have a lot of ground to make up not running a hard body lol. excited to see where this truck goes though!!
Stay tuned!
Man I really like that truck! Body looks great to! You can just tell it's gonna do really well 💯👌
Thanks 👍

Very cool!
It’s ok, I’m a limo driver!
I used an interior from a Scx10iii gladiator. Worked very nice
Cool!
@@scalebuildersguild a slight trim on the sides and on the rear and a few small screws or glue and it’s in. A much better fit then using a wraith interior.
Class 1 has to be your new Volvo. And to make it scale , I has to have a Cristal gear shift knob! 😜
That would be cool!
No worries y'all will get it done, with magic ✨️ 😁 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘🍻🤘
Fingers crossed! 🤘
Ya rules every one been talking about this lately. That's why I did a simple comp over the weekend 😊👍Vid drops soon hello from V&B Speed
get a high clearance lcg chassis to be more competitive, something with 12 degrees skid clearance... not scale but it will out do that chassis
You might want to look closer at it, it’s rather comp.
I have no interest in comps, but I will still watch the builds.
Taking the easy road to the Rockies eh 😂
Now are you building the studio or assembling it? 😊
Haha! Probably assembling it!

It's all about having fun and meeting other people in the other hobby!
Take the LS post for c2 lol it sound work
Is Josh allowed to hire Moosejaw for painting? 🤔
This is going to be an awesome series.
I think you will do a great job man. Don't stress.
Much... haha.
Great choice for the 2/3
I can't wait to see what your doing for class1.
One step at a time right.
Well maybe a couple steps at a time hahahaha.
😎👍👍
I can't believe I keep getting roped into these challenges! I just want a break! 😂
What about the carbon Beetle body, do you still have that kicking around?
I still have it, but it's too wide suitable for a comp. Thanks for watching!
So, when are you revealing that your class 1 will be a rc4wd mystery box build? :D I can't wait to see you using those sand tires on the trails.
😂 Thanks for the laugh!
"Stop your whining!" Arnold Schwarzenegger voice lol
You got this!
😂
You flying down or driving? I may be interested in going
I'll be flying! Way too far to drive to Colorado.
Can u share the file for it to 3d print if u made it
Do you do all you rc work in the studio we see on your videos or do you have another space to construct in?
Believe it or not, I do it all in my tiny workshop!
Have you thought about a hardbody rat rod style rig? Keeps weight lower and I'd say minimize tire rub
It's not really my line of interest, but I appreciate the suggestion!
What skid is that Matt
It's a custom skid from Artful Dodgers.
i need that servo mount!
Ha! Contact Artful Dodgers!
Regionals, isn't that a Glee thing 😆
😂 You should hear Josh sing!
Jconcepts Gozer body would be different to see
Run it then I’ll be ready when it hits EBay.
Lexan interior??? Who is this and what did you do with Matt??
Sigh. I know.
Did you get one of those carbon bodies? Wont that get you hardbody points?
I have one, but it's too wide to be suitable for comp.
Make a c1 ice cream truck lol
is it next Wednesday yet?
Wow! Thank you!
How about those injora jeep truck bodies? Run a jeep to cheat 😉
Too heavy!
I know it's off topic but I hope the lowrider does get named the idiocracy with Booker-T for the driver.
You must be a glutton for punishment. 10 projects going.. plus work. Let's add a few more builds with a time frame. But I'm excited for this series
Josh made me do it! 😂
Not using a hard body for c2 , i think Josh has been too influential
You’ll find that you can’t use cut and shut
From the rules:
Class 3
o 4.76” (120.9mm) minimum diameter
o 6.0” (152.4mm) maximum diameter
o Lugs may be removed, siped, grooved and/or trimmed
o Tires may be cut and shut, all tire parts must be from a legal tire
@@scalebuildersguild right on. Thanks for setting that straight. Don’t know why I thought that
I even fell asleep reading the rules yesterday lol
No hard body….. he has gone crazy, or the body snatchers replaced him
Super excited, don’t get too stressed. You’re doing great 👍
Thank you!!
Enjoy wondering why you’re having problems breathing when you first get there.
My wife's family live in the mountains, so I'm very familiar with the feeling!
This will be the third time you changed studios. Just make up your mind already. Geez… lol
