Watching these builds always inspires me. I love my kids, but they sure have cut into my RC modding time during the day. Once my youngest really gets a feel for controlling his RC, I'm going back to working on my trucks. I have this brand new big back yard full of nooks to discover with my trail trucks. I can't wait!
Very cool, Matt!! It is enjoyable to watch you being excited about these builds. Hats off to you and Josh for bringing us such interesting content. I think that Sugga(spelling? ) would look right at home in snow patrol colors. Maybe a splash of Playboy blue here and there? And maybe a "Gimmie some SUGGA" bumper sticker.
Very Good Work with the carbon fiber and good safety tips on the product hazard's Matthew 💯 The Hard Body Delivery will look super Cool on the Trail's... Lot's of 3d printing to do... Many of today’s slicer programs automate much of that process depending on your filament choice. I tend to stick with PLA as it’s the easiest to work with. If you need some advice, DM me on Instagram or send me an email.
Great vid! The class 2 truck is going to be awesome with the Volvo body. What a cool choice. Even better its not a Power Wagon! I think it'll be cooler than a Power wagon!
Better to be one of a kind than one of the crowd when it comes to most things, paint schemes included. I'd say go with seperate looks for each vehicle.
Yes yes yes! Mask up I didn't for a quick 1/4 inch cut and had a sore throat for a month. Another thing I did was cut with the shop vac sucking beside me. I highly recommend long sleeves or long gloves to cut as well cause it will cause splinters also wash your hand and arms with cold water first
If that Furitek 10 is anything like their LIKO combo, (I am sure it is) you're in for a real treat. On the fly telemetry adjustments via Bluetooth is a pretty sweet option. Updated firmware to fix sinewave output to the motor, etc. It's a worthwhile route to go. Can it handle the stress test? I don't see why not. What is that? 60A nominal with 80A burst? Plenty of juice on 3s with headroom to spare.
Looking forward to seeing the Class 1 Porsche, but genuinely EXCITED about the Class 2 Volvo! Always loved seeing the Red Bull promo version...perhaps this one could be a white promo Sugga for Malk? Since milk and sugar are a thing...
In keeping with the RACECAR theme.. And combining the PRANCING MOOSE, perhaps a Patina-looking homage to a Ferrari race car, but using the stylized font of Ferrari but spell volvo.. great work so far
Panel bond is amazing. Just be Warned if you get it somewhere you Dont want it clean it up asap. If not it will forever be there. I set a brush on a saw horse. Couldn’t get it off had to throw the saw horse away .
i just use shoe goo to hold my carbon drop beds into the carbon body. i have broken carbon trying to get them apart even when using an exacto blade to cut the shoe goo.
Damn you... Teasing us with incredible dream rigs in the thumbnails and not making them see daylight... 😭😅 That Dakar Porsche would be quite something... 🤩
@@scalebuildersguild 😁 exactly! Truth is: it's not another Ford/Defender/Chevy/Jeep/... . And that's already something! I wander why across all manufacturers/scales/rig types, etc... a few car models make up a huge part of the RTR RC offer. I guess us buyers are to blame. 😏
2K clear and clear epoxy finish, releases about the same amount of V.O.C.s......so don't use either one without proper mask AND ventilation. Excellent work so far
How about making the printable Sugga files available with a portion going back to the originator Pretorama as that's a body I'd love to use, floats my boat 🙂
Sorry, that would be too difficult to work out with the designer, I’m not interested in making any money off it either. I’ll reach out to them and see if they want to offer a modified version for easier printing.
Thanks Matt. The 87 yota bed is getting bobbed soon and the only thing that's got me held back is I'm just unsure of myself and the reattaching part lol. So I'm just trying to figure out the best and most successful way to get there.
Has 2 parts ready "This is really coming together" 😆 You should paint the sugga with danish, finnish or norwegian imagery just to piss off every swede that sees it
If the idea for the Sugga was from an old military vehicle, why not use that as the basis for the livery styling? Make it a period correct look but with your own personalized and modernized spin to it. Side note, it would have been pretty awesome if you had drawn up the plans to make the body of the rig in the thumbnail picture!
Hey Matt! Got a weathering question, how do you accomplish chipping or faded clear coat look? Is it the same process as normal paint chipping? Possibly a video on it maybe? Love the show and have a great day!
I did it in an episode on my green Range Rover. I can't track it down at the moment, but I know it's here somewhere! Essentially, chipping fluid over your final color (including it's clear coat) then light white paint in splotches, then chip to remove and expose the color underneath!
Loving this series, would love to do something similar challenging a buddy of mine but heck birthday was yesterday and past month or so been dropping hints and links and goodies to the wife and didn’t seem like she took the bait that want n crawler and she bought a beer glass with my name on... I like beer but heck not what I wanted nor what I need. so for now we continue with the dinky toy.. big sad but we will get there... keep up with the videos.
@@scalebuildersguild hahaha thank you :), that's the plan see how things goes by end of the month. Whats your opinion on the RGT Desert Fox that's one of a few i am looking at as starter.

Top class information and content, excellent as always. Thanks for sharing. John
Glad you enjoyed it!
Trucks are looking great and your enthusiasm is contagious! The Volvo build will be fun to see.

Love the Volvo! Can't wait to see the final product. Good luck!
I can wait to see these builds finished
Paint the C2 Volvo a really glossy brown !! In true Volvo style 👍
I'm so impressed with the work that you're both doing, and really excited to see the end results, keep up the great work, its inspirational.
Loving the Volvo body!! Soooo much better than another Jeep on the trails.
Great episode! 👍 first half was 🔥 second half 🤯

These are such cool builds haha.
Love the volvo
I think it would be cool to keep the same theme with all 3.
Excellent choice bud. Think it’ll be an awesome build with that Volvo.
Ain't nothin' better than rigs with matching liveries. You know we live for 'em.
I love that Volvo body Matt sick my man! I can’t wait get scx pro they was sold out by time had flow to get it! Ahh the struggle is real hahaha ❤
For the class 2, I suggest getting influence of the Swedish racing green color and the livery from the btcc volvo 850r wagon .
The grill of the Volvo reminds me of a old heater register in a house the way the bars are and the shape. But super excited to see how it turns out!
Great builds can’t wait to see them finished I think you should paint them to match like a team.
I’m a fan of the team livery. The Volvo needs a trailer to haul the Porsche for the show and shine
Don’t forget to add the crystal shift knob for style points 😂
The Class 1 Porsche is coming along nicely.
Wow Matt! looks great! came out nice.
Better to be one of a kind than one of the crowd when it comes to most things, paint schemes included. I'd say go with seperate looks for each vehicle.
I vote same livery on both vehicles. I like the idea of backing the 3D print with a sheet of carbon fiber.

it should be team colors all the way ,great builds so far
Is that Volvo going to have a crystal shift knob? ha Can't wait to see the final result.
I call dibs on what’s left of the C2 Sugga body.
matt and gloss top coat cf would be cool... some kind of livery using those top coats
I love seeing all this come together. Livery idea for class 2- your prancing moose logo in a red bull style using Swedish flag colors.
You’re not the first to suggest it, and I LOVE the idea!!
@@scalebuildersguild well there is only one option then!
So chuffed for this!!!
Very nice contrast of vehicles! Is there a scale accessory plan?
Looking forward to the Volvo!

I'm having good luck with furitek esc , running furitek motor and with a 3bros. So far.. color choice for me is 🍊 orange , it makes u faster

That Volvo better have a scale crystal shift knob!!
can't wait to see the Volvo finished product neat car military green
I'd personally love to see you paint this year's comp bodies in tartan.
If you choose a dakar style theme for the Porsche, the volvo could get some similar style as dakar support truck.

You should totally paint the Volvo HOT PINK, and make it as girly and Barbie-esque as possible! Hahaha!

Dark olive green with a trailer to haul a Porsche maybe?
The XC definitely needs a soccer mom ball sticker on the back window
Has 2 parts ready

1. Is “chuffed” also a common Canadian term?

Please drive that blue ford lol

Try using tin snips to trim cf.
I'll just use my rotary tool. Tin snips are going to shatter the CF.
@Scale Builder's Guild I've used them. Depends hiw many layers. Best thing zero dust
Make one covered in SBG logos but styled as other people's logos
Paint it PINK! It'll look like a piggy bank on wheels!

Lol, it sure did!

You should paint it the same color as your real Volvo

Hopefully you now how to properly charge you batteries.
15 amps, right?
