Nice video. I cut plastic banding that holds lumber together with a Maxamet native 5. If your ever in a Home Depot go to the lumber department and try your Maxamet on the green plastic bands. It makes those zip ties look like child's play lol. Maxamet vs S110v would make a great video!!🍻😁👍

Woah. Maxamet is a beast. More and more interested in this steel but I'll have to get some diamond first. I usually lever the spine of the first inch of the blade against the zip tie and essentially push cut through the other site. Those twist cuts had me on the edge of my seat!
I use mostly a King double sided water stone or the Spyderco Sharpmaker (mostly for touch ups). I've been tempted by those Russian Diamond water stones you've got. That or the new CBN Double Stuff.
people who are saying stuff about maxamet dont know jack. it cuts everything and well. you should cut some speaker cables etc. some folks have issues sharpening it cause they are sharpening it wrong (tho there is a possibility of heat treatment issues, but i dont have any issues with my mule). getting a PM2 eventually. dunno how long ill wait to get one.

I used to work at a farm and anytime I knew we were have a lot of cutting tasks I used CPM M4 and it was always impressive to me and other onlookers hahaha
Zip-Tie version of "Lucille". More Maxamet Abuse! LOL. Try cutting a tire in half ;-p I don't know why I like watching knife abuse tests so much. Probably because it isn't mine.
If people are saying that their knives are chipping with the zip ties then there exists this possibility: They may be using the Worksharp sharpener. That thing is not really made for a steel like Maxamet. Perhaps they are grinding so hard with those belts that they are overheating the edge.
