Yes the RD RE RF, 83 84 85. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL LOOKING BIKES.
I remember going to Burt Ive's Honda whenever I needed anything for my ATC 200X, 350X and my XR80. They ALWAYS had everythiung I needed for my bikes while Manchester Honda always had to order the shit.
Ken, I've been watching for a while but this made me reply, as a teen B rider at the time went to see Hurricane II at Gatorback and only got to see the #12 do a parade lap. BUT got to see Lechiens rotary valve Yamaha. Those were the days!!!!

Before I die, can someone please find out the reason the manufacturers switched to right side kick and exhaust and left side drive? Seems like a tremendous amount of work. Is it only because most people are right handed for the kicker? 🤔.

Bike of my dreams as a kid - and what a perfect restoration this is. Looks better than new.
However, to say this is a "Works Replica" is a little misleading, as this bike and the 1983 RC250 share nothing in common - nor look anything alike - except for their colors.
The '82 RC250 is my personal favorite of all time.
It was Donnie Hansen's favorite as well!!
Love how an old school 250 can sound as beefy as a 500... gorgeous bike! Performance of these were so far ahead of their time.
My cousin won the Baja 1000 Ensenada to Ensenada in 1983 on that same bike class21 Larry Fife Duarte 👍 That is one kick ass bike🔥

I remember so vividly that sound. When I would enter Newtown Dadarios. You could here it off I the distance. You would follow the sound so you could hook up with your buddies. Just a better time.
I will have my ashes spread at Newtown Daddario. It is the most sacred place in the world for me.

The early 80s were FANTASTIC for motorcycles, they just went full on race replica for mass consumption, god bless 80s motorcycles
Yamaha ads in dirt bike mag ,got me a 79 YZ125F.
This year 83 CR250 got me back into racing ,in 1990 what a beast, than in 1991 I bought a used 91CR250 from a expert classman,Raced amateur, Bridgehampton, L.I.

First year of Honda's low style fuel tank. The '83's were always the slickest looking to me. A friend of mine had one and I was riding an '82 RM465 st the time. Just a bad ass bike!!

This was the first dirt bike i ever saw close up as a kid in 84 i seen my dad ride it up an down our hill in Pittsburgh
And with a bike this good and fast , it makes u wonder if power valves were even needed as the engine has to use extra power to spin the governor gear that runs off the crank... any extra complexity increases chance of failures and this design was def the Pinnacle of motorcycle development at the time, and holy shit, that THING SOUNDS CRISPER AND TIGHTER THAN BRAND NEW...!!!! PURE MOTO PORN!!!!!!

I'm always so torn with these impeccably perfect vintage motocross bikes. At this point, do you ride it or display it? I am not a big fan of bikes that don't get ridden, but this is a work of art! I can't imagine taking it on a track. I need one of these for my office!

I just watched and listened to the story of the RM 370 as I believe I witnessed a humbling of a certain Kaplan America as it was the dark side telling you go on grab a handful Junior just blueprinted and restored unobtaining beyond the call of duty it will not break and then there was your guardian angel telling you ken listen to your son he just poured his blood sweat and tears to build the most unobtainium detail as it has more bang bling than any Factory bike. No one not even you ken knows the torment the torture and the solutions that your boy Junior here is the only one that can ever come up with what he does as wrenching is not as simple as Junior displays.. the greatest compliment anyone with Junior's talent is when on lookers will say well what did he do to it I don't see it's been worked on at all .. and Junior has to explain it you will have to have been there and done that to understand

And good job Ken you followed your son's advice and didn't even scrub the titties off the nobbies and I never heard it even come on the pipe one time as your son is sweating bullets for most don't understand this is his flagship of all of his talents put together that you finally let go of the dark side and roll it back into the showroom where it belongs
