The dash isn't always right that's why I love my banks idash
Another awesome test! Thanks for posting. How many regens did your truck go through over the 963 Miles? I have noticed with a mix of intown and highway the best distance i can get between regens is about 250 miles. Also the def usage outside of a regen is something i had not noticed yet. Mine seems to regen very frequently and each regen uses roughly 3% def. Towing about 5,000 LBS seems to have little to no affect on DEF usage or regen frequency. However, it was not as long as your test.
Great video but I have a question my son has a 23 gmc with the lzo and he told me that the truck does regen once a week is that normal he’s not really doing a tremendous amount of driving back and forth to work
I want to find a way to display all those idash metrics on that 13" screen!
That would be awesome! Some people have done it with an app, but I don't like how the app looks.
What are your thoughts on DEF treatment like the Rislone diesel def treatment def additive?
Ouch so is the v8 a better option for towing I wonder hmm 🤔
Depends on what you want, really. The warnings are annoying but the power is great and the fuel economy is better. The v8's do just fine as well.
Do u think that when undergoing harsh driving , like pulling up a grade the truck is using more def , therefore calculating def range according to the harsh driving. Then when u flatten out it re calculates that’s why the mileage for def increases ? Kind of like when u floor the truck , the mpg drops drastically then re adjusts after more mileage is put on ?
Great video and info. Ever had any problems using the Platinum Blue DEF fluid?
Thanks ! Just a lighter wallet.
Have you ever thought of installing air bags for towing?
I owned a repossession company for 20 years and have done hundreds of thousands of miles of different kinds of trucks and equipment. Air bags are great and all but my favorite is RAS roadmaster active suspension.
I’ve had them all these are my favorite highly recommend them. I have them on my 23 3.0 and I tow a 10,000 pound boat 400 miles one way with several mountain terrains. I won’t go without them. You can install yourself very easily
DEF consumption is ridiculous. There has to be something wrong.
The warnings are just excessive. I think the consumption was a little high but not terrible, in comparison to prior tow trips, this was a little more use than those with prior trucks (2020/2021/2022.5)
@@DemonWorks is not the point of this video to demonstrate that the DEF usage was really high? 🤔
Just another reason to delete it
Have you thought about installing a titan xl fuel tank?
No plans at this time.
What fuel cap are you using? I hate the cap less design on mine and I’m not seeing a lot of billet options other than the dmaxstore billet one.
How do you get def range on your dash? Is that new for the 24s?
It pops up when the system thinks you are going to run out.
