My cello teacher gave me these, and said "when you can play these, you'll be able to play anything!" 50 years later, I haven't quite got there yet... Piatti's genius was making pieces whose musical value isn't revealed until you are totally on top of the technique.
I regarded these as the nastiest pieces I had come across. Only correct training from a young age prepares one to tackle these. To play them back to back is a formidable challenge! BRAVO!
I listened to her Piatti 12. I actually like it. Very well phrased. I was used Edgar Moreau's fast playing but listening to this I realize it doesn't necessarily have to be fast.
These are very technically difficult "caprices". It is necessary to very carefully intonate transitional and non-accord sounds, because in these works the tempered order is pronounced. Extraordinary performance, this girl has done a tremendous job.
Si certo tecnica da vendere ,come TUTTI i grandi violoncellisti ,ma qui la differenza sta nell'interpretazione !!!E qui c'è n'è poca poca ,troppo poca .Grande técnica ok
Hello Yashuaismylamp, thank you very much for your comment. I have just recorded and put up the complete 12 caprices on my channel. Please check it out! As for Caprice 7, I was not aware that there were two versions! I have been playing from the Urtext. Hope you enjoy these videos!
Very impressive performance. I'll never have the skill to take on piatti like this. However, I just wanted to ask why the final few bars of caprice 6 were cut out? Was this a stylistic choice in order to preserve the momentum of playing all 12 caprices?
You obviously know nothing about string playing. Or music, for that matter. She makes her mistakes, but such a harsh, destructive, comment can only come from someone that has accomplished nothing himself.

love this
amazing
No grandstanding, no emphatic showing off, just lots of honest, rock-solid technique and unobtrusive musicality. Bravissima!!!

Maybe the sixth wasnt perfect but guys she's playing all the 12 caprices in live! She loves piatti and i love her interpretation!
Beautiful! Excellent technique and phrasing!
A wonderful advocate for these pieces which are not well enough known.

Que dominio de las dos manos.

Ah ben oui, c'est facile de faire des commentaires quand on n'a pas les doigts sur le manche.
Une très belle performance.

Pretty damn good work! But why did you leave out the good part from 12th caprice?
43 dislikes what the fuck? how can you dislike such an brilliant performance. awesome!
very nice, but what happened at the end of no. 6?
gut
Impressive undertaking! What kind of cello and bow are you playing?
(The bow looks like it was too tight, btw)
She is brave enough to play the whole piece. BUT!! She skipped alot and even played the wrong notes. Each of them are not NEVER enough!
meh
terrible unmusical out of tune robot playing!!! the punters will love it!
