Evelyn Rojas she sure can! I suppose that kind of exaggerated compliment doesn’t always mesh well with the goth experience of constantly being told you should dress differently
Right !?!?! Ive said that for YEARS!! and she never doess it !! I think it down, and straightened would be so gorgeous. And SO easy for her..also would give her hair a break from all the teasing
"The nature of bobby pins to become lost" I've only just realised I have long hair (it's been a number of years) and honestly thought that was bullshit. Nope, can't find even half of the dam things despite buying a whole new pack a few months ago. Equally, this hair is amazing and a great wearable version of the style. I'm giving it a go....if I can find more bobby pins.
I just watched Bernadette Banner do this too! It looks so cool in the end. ^_^ I'm actually contemplating trying out some 1880's hairstyles in the future. I like Edwardian, but I really love the late 1800's fashion the most.
I used to work with an older lady who had waist length hair and she used to have this hair style EVERY DAY for work. She didn't use padding - she just had sooo much hair. She looked amazing
Meryl Montgomery my history teacher was actually the PE instructor. There was no one else to teach the class so he ended up with the short straw. It was not a fun class 🥺
@@AWindy94 this happens on Europe, too. We don't have a real music teacher so we just have a normal one that knows nothing about music so all we do is just listen to music and suiff
I've always liked that hair style. A friend of mine used to sometimes do a loose bun but not as accentuated, she used to look like the photo you showed, or like a painting. This is a very becoming hairstyle on you. It reminds me of both Elvira and Bride of Frankenstein.
One of the only women I've ever seen who looks beautiful however she wears her hair! Down- gorgeous, pony tail - gorgeous, in a devine updo - gorgeous!! Also I could just listen to her talk for hours! Much love from NC 🖤
This hairstyle is completely and utterly stunning on you. You have such a great face shape for it -- with and without the contour, I'd imagine. Delighted to get new content from you! Best regards from Canada! ♡
I agree. It really suits her face and the little spiral curls she left hanging down the sides and front really added just enough framing. Looks incredibly good on her.
I'm glad you went to using structural padding to help with that style- it makes it so much easier! You can also braid your ponytail for a more woven, tighter bun. Fantastic look! 💖👏👏👏
Hey I'm in Wellington and I have like 4 or 5 boxes of black hair dye I am trying to get rid of (I'm growing out my natural hair to donate so don't dye it black for the next few years lol). Can I send it to you or something?
Ahh, Gibson girl!!! I love this hairstyle, my grandma always does her hair like that and she started 53 years ago! I was truly shocked when I saw her one day in the morning with hair so long, it almost reached her elbows!
Okay so I followed your tutorial and it's so easy. I didn't use a hair rat or padding. Just teased and hair sprayed the heck out of my hair Took like 10 minutes. Thanks for sharing this!! 🖤

Ladies of wealth had maids, working women had mothers/aunts/sisters. Carved combs instead of bobby pins.
I genuinely love this hairstyle on you. Being able to see more of your face as well as elongating your neck are two pluses about it. I hope to see you use it again, especially with some sort of headpiece or veil added. Great job.
Same wavelength we are all connected in some way. If you ever work in a restaurant you will find people come in and order some obscure menu item and the rest of the day people order that item. I did a 1920s replica wedding hairstyle for my brother's wedding a few years ago and got lots of compliments. Took a very long time to do. It was from a wedding in 1920 or 1921 before the bob became super popular and women still had very long hair.
This is beautiful💕💕I’ve been following your Chanel for about 6 years and I really embraced enjoying all things I love labeled “goth” thanks for the wonderful content as always lovely
You've just been using what's around you and it works. You use what you got. I am going to attempt this at some point. My hair is past my waist so this will be fun.
This came out amazing! I think it would be a really cool move for you and your channel to do a vintage hair styling series. Especially seeing these sort of vintage styles of hair in contrast to your own personal style would be nothing short of absolutely intriguing.
It turned out really cute! Its funny u mentioned this style being done by so many women back then. I was just going through super old family photos with my grandmom last week and she had photos of her grandparents when they were young around 1890. And her grandmom was wearing this hairstyle too
I like the hairstyle. I also like when you wear your hair down. I know you mentioned not liking how it seemed to change the shape of your face, but I think it looks gorgeous.
Luv luv luv it. Just a tip, you could sew the 2 cut spongy things together so that you have one half circle to pin onto your hair. I have long thick black hair so I’m going to give this a whirl. 🖤
When you say you're "clipping" the hair over the rolls, is it the small hair clips (they pop open, you put hair in them, then they close on the hair) or bobby pins? Thanks.
I'm so excited for more hair videos from you. You have such great hair for these types of styles and you always look amazing. Love the way you're doing your brows these days btw!
Ah the first time I watched this video, I didn't deeply realized how beautiful it really was, I personally hate it when people assume “old timy stuff, dresses and hairs” are definitely from the Victorian era, I love this video you gave it justice it's an Edwardian style
I know the video you watched to learn how to do this~ lol I watch it too, just for fun even, it’s relaxing in a way! The hairdresser has a really nice and calm voice.
You look so pretty with your hair down and just straight. I don't prefer goth style myself but I don't knock anybody for their style but your hair looks so good just down and natural
sorry for the lengthy comment but i just want to say this was spot on and so pretty! Your hair looks fantastic like this! I really love your curly bangs down the front! Your looked cute every step of this! (High ponytail, pigtails, hair down and hair up)
Love this vintage look! When I was watching this video the song "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin came to mind, good ragtime song most of us are familiar with, made in 1902, Edwardian definitely.

That was really interesting. I loved the show, "Penny Dreadful" and that had TONS of Edwardian styles and cool looks.
Technically late Victorian as it's set in the "gay 90's", isn't it? Edward didn't become king until 1903.... I'm just a pedant tho lol
I loved "Penny Dreadful", too! It'sBlackFriday is giving me Vannessa Ives vibes. 🖤
