This was tuned but the owner didn't want to turn off the speed limiter 🙂

as 530D M57N2 owner 170kw stock, i can easily reach 220, e60 holds to this day as high performance family sedan and of course best of its time, sadly speed limit all year long is 130km/h in my country, all that power and no where to use :(

fuel consumption gauge needs to be coded for oil temperature and then you can change the tacho dials to have oil temp. printed.

I have the same 535d, but stock 272hp. I wonder the cost and consequences of such a chip tunning. Could you give some figures? Were there any upgrades other than the software mod, etc? Thx
Cost, I don't know, maybe 400-500€. Consequences, not so many, it's not possible to tell if the car is tunned if you get pulled over. As I was told by the owner, only Software, nothing more.
Depends on company which you choose, there are some cheap and starts from 250 euros but i dont recommend that. Good chiptuning will cost you about 500-600 euros with custom map for your engine.
150€ very good chiptuning
All 335d and 535d burning pistons.
I would recommend after chiptuning to check the injectors.
They will eat up a pistons if the injectors are not correctly calibrated.
Don't, gearbox will suffer if you kick it in lower gears.. from 580nm to 740nm... 160 more nm, after time the torque converter will start to fluctuate. But thats normal on e60 generation ZF tranny

@@mateszoke6882 the 535d BiTurbo is better if you plan to do something to it. The 540i comes with a N/A engine, so no further modification possible

I can't answer that question because I didn't drove one, yet. But I will try and find one.
I have e60 520i 170hp, max speed is 200km/h after 30min acceleration, very bad for 6 cilynder and 170hp my brother wv polo 1.4tdi with 3 cilynder and 75hp have same result, so sad and dissapoiting for bmw 5 series

for 340hp 740nM thats kinda bad, my stock E320cdi 224hp 510nM do 0-100 to 5Ghz gps 6.01s, and to speedometer 5,8 sec. Summer there gonna be 330hp 808nM. And stock 60kmh to 130kmh gps around 5,4s

for 340 hp and 740 nm it is slow from 0- 60. boring. but when you reach 120 kph and more it shows us the power.
Only because it's RWD and up to 100kmh, the ESC doesn't allow the wheels to spin. But after 140kmh there is no need for ESC to reduce power.

It's just that this 535d has to much torque to make a good start. If I disable the traction control, it whould have just spin the tyres. 🙂

I have 525D touring from 2009 with 298hp and 670NM and I have arroud 6,2 if it is a really good start without traction.
