Radar is warm to this one. Interested in theatre and units, and not seeing anything that puts me off. Pushed down my purchase list only due to splurging on WaW85 and extras. One for 2020 for sure. Nice informative and well delivered unboxing style as ever.

Thanks, glad you liked the unboxing! Same here, definitely love the theater and setting. Despite not being much of an air guy, I had to grab it. It's got a lot going on with it, so I am intrigued to give this one a spin sometime. I too am looking forward to WaW85 and Space Infantry. :)

Interesting unboxing, but the only air games I like are Wing Leader and the old B17. I sold all others so this is not on my radar, but I liked your video. I do wonder how this game stacks up towards Tac Air, the old AH game about Air Land battle doctrine of the 80’s.
Despite some negative BGG comments on Tac Air I personally found this NATO WARSHAU wargame fantastic.. The flak it got was totally undeserved and I wonder if it wasn’t caused by the fact Tac Air was designed by an Air Force Major and it handled Land Combat...
    Thanks for the video.

I want to like this game. But I have a feeling that its at a high enough complexity level I just dont want to deal with at this point in my life.

LOVE the setting, so couldn't pass it up. Agreed that this is going to be one of those games like Fields of Fire, where you need to shut out everything else and just concentrate on the one game to learn it.

@@MoesWargames love the look of this game, but the complexity looks too high. Love the map, the setting, the counters but the rules look dense with too much setup and planning before you even hit the table. A miss unless I see a playthrough that makes it look easier than it appears.... great video anyway.

@@ReplicaJr yea, the complexity level on this one is definitely up there and it all depends on how much time one has to dedicate to learning any game that's involved. I'm hoping to get to this someday, it just won't be today. lol
Glad you liked the video and it helped give you a closer look at the game. That's what I try to do, give a good look at games that people are curious about. :)

A very involving game. Takes a long time to play. Lots of up front planning required. Early turns are very quick, but once contact is established the the whole thing slows to a crawl. I like the game very much but it’s not for the casual gamer. An understanding of the various components of an integrated air operation and what their role is a prerequisite. Plays very well via PBEM using VASSAL.
Steep learning curve, if you haven’t played any of the earlier games. More complex than Downtown with a lot more air to air combat.

Who has the amount of time needed to digest this type of game anymore in this era of Weapons of Mass Distraction? Lucky for them, it seems really complex.... thats not a learning curve, thats the Everest! 😰

I see this game similar to a game like Fields of Fire. You'll need to make a commitment and dedicate time to grok it, when you do there will be a nice reward in the experience.
